Morgan Adams (born: August 22, 1997 (1997-08-22) [age 27]) is an American YouTuber and vlogger who currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She is known well for her comedy videos, vlogs, and collaborations with Shane Dawson and her older brother Ryland Adams. She created her YouTube channel on November 9, 2015, and has grown rapidly in subscriber count and viewership since then.

Personal Life[]

Adams was born in Denver, Colorado on August 22, 1997, to Vicki and Bruce Adams. She was raised along with her two brothers Austin and Ryland Adams. On August 30, 2024, Adams posted a vlog where at the end of the video, she revealed she was in a relationship with Lucas Degarmo. He was a part of the construction company that helped build Adams' house. He lives there with Adams as well.[1]

Controversy[]

On May 2, 2018, Adams posted a video entitled "Am I a lesbian?," wherein she humorously addressed her fans' belief of her being lesbian.[2] Many viewers took offense to the video, resulting in her being labelled homophobic by some. Adams' close friend Shane Dawson quickly came to her defense and Tweeting, "...morgan making a video about people assuming she’s a lesbian and questioning why while talking about it in depth with her GAY brother and his BI boyfriend is nothing to be triggered by. if anything she’s spreading light on the ridiculousness of stereotypes."[3] Adams later apologized that day to anyone who felt offended by the video,[4] despite it being nearly unanimously agreed that the accusations of homophobia were unnecessary and absurd.

In January 2019, she received criticism after posting a video of she and her close friend participating in the "Bird Box Challenge," in which the two spent their day blindfolded. In response, the official Netflix account on Twitter called out the danger of the challenge and heavily discouraged participation.[5]

On April 21, 2020, Adams received backlash from fans within hours after posting a collaboration video featuring extremely controversial YouTuber Trisha Paytas, who many users call "toxic" and "harmful."[6]
