Motörhead was a rock and roll, hard rock, heavy metal, and speed metal band formed in London, England, in 1975, by Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister † (December 24, 1945[1] December 28, 2015 [aged 70])[2] (lead vocals and bass guitar), Larry Wallis † (May 19, 1949[citation needed] - September 19, 2019 [aged 70])[3] (lead guitar and backing vocals), and Lucas Fox (drums). They disbanded in 2015 following the death of Lemmy, after 40 years of making music; during this time, their lineup consisted of Ian "Lemmy (lead vocals and bass guitar), Phil "Wizzo" Campbell (lead guitar and backing vocals), and Mikkey Dee (drums), making Ian the only founding member that was with them until the end.
