Martin Foss Anderson[1] (born: November 12, 2004 (2004-11-12) [age 20]),[2] better known online as MrSavage (formerly MrSavageM), is a Norwegian gaming YouTuber known for playing Fortnite: Battle Royale competitively. As of March 2023, Martin is the fifth highest paid gamer in Norway, earning over $442,000.

History[]

Martin started uploading to YouTube in 2018, posting clips of his gameplay in Fortnite: Battle Royale. He would start to gain recognition for his solo vs squad gameplays and from playing competitive scrims.

On January 21, 2019, Martin became a member of NRG eSports. Shortly after, he started competing where he would earn money. In April of 2019, Martin competed in the Fortnite World Cup. In the first week of duos competition, him and his duo partner benjyfishy would place first, qualifying for the World Cup finals. The two would end up being praised for their work and had since gained social media traction. In the week 5 solos competition, Martin qualified. In the week 6 duos competition, Martin and benjyfishy double-qualified for the World Cup. Before the World Cup finals, Martin had gained recognition for his 40 elimination Solo vs Squad gameplay, which had taken place on the first day of Chapter 1: Season 9. At the 2019 World Cup during the duo finals on July 27, 2019, the duo of MrSavage and benjyfishy would end up in 14th place, each earning $50,000. During the solos competition, Martin was placed 29th, and earned another $50,000. Later in 2019, Martin surpassed 1 million subscribers on YouTube. On August 25, 2019, Martin competed for the first ever Fortnite Championship Series (commonly known as FNCS). He qualified for the finals and had won $6,500 with his trio consisting of itemm and Rojo11. Martin would then compete at TwitchCon on September 27, 2019, where he and his trio KingRichard and Rojo11 placed 4th, each earning $29,333.33.

On February 10, 2020, Martin departed from NRG eSports. He would later join 100 Thieves on February 20. On February 23, 2020, Martin competed as a solo at DreamHack, where he placed first, and earned $30,000. He had also competed in the Fortnite Championship Series finals in the European region. In Chapter 2: Season 2, Martin and his duo Idrop placed 12th. In Chapter 2: Season 3, Martin won $1,500 as a solo. In Chapter 2: Season 4, he and his trio benjyfishy and Letshe would place 8th, each earning $7,500.

On March 14, 2021, Martin and his trio consisting of Idrop and TaySon qualified for the finals in the Fortnite Championship Series for Chapter 2: Season 5. The trio would place 8th, each earning $20,000. On May 30, 2021, Martin qualified for the Fortnite Championship Series final for Chapter 2: Season 6 with his trio consisting of Endretta and Refsgaard. The trio placed 2nd, each earning $70,000. On September 5, 2021, Martin qualified for the Fortnite Championship Series finals for Chapter 2: Season 7 with the same trio from the previous season. The trio would place 11th, each earning $5,000. On October 31, 2021, Martin qualified for the Fortnite Championship Series finals for Chapter 2: Season 8 with his trio consisting of benjyfishy and Endretta. The trio would place 23rd, each earning $2,000.

On May 10, 2022, Martin departed from 100 Thieves. He would join Become Legends on July 17, 2022. On May 29, 2022, Martin qualified for the Fortnite Championship Series finals for Chapter 3: Season 2, with his duo benjyfishy, each earning $1,500. He would then qualify for the finals in Chapter 3: Season 3 with Hen, where they placed 26th, each earning $3,000.

On February 12, 2023, Martin has departed from Become Legends to become a member of 00NATION. On February 14, 2023, Martin and his squad Japko, KamiFN and Pkr29 took part in the Tfue Tuesday week 2 tournament, where the squad was 1st place, each earning $4,000.
