―One of Mr. Bean's most famous quotes, which became an internet meme.

Mr Bean is the official YouTube channel of the British sitcom Mr. Bean. The channel uploads clips, compilations, and extras from the Mr. Bean franchise, along with other projects that star Rowan Atkinson (born: January 6, 1955 (1955-01-06) [age 70]), the actor of Mr. Bean. Atkinson, along with Richard Curtis also created the show and character.

Mr. Bean is popular in hundreds of countries worldwide, due to the fact the show uses very little intelligible dialogue, making it accessible to people who know little or no English.

History[]

One of Mr. Bean's earliest appearances was at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1987. Atkinson insisted that he perform the character on the French-speaking programme instead of the English-speaking programme; programme coordinators could not understand why Atkinson wanted this, as his act contained no French dialogue, but it later transpired that he chose to do this as a test to see how well the character was received overseas. [1]

The original Mr. Bean television series was broadcasted from 1 January 1990 to 15 December 1995. However, various spin-off episodes and sketches were broadcasted as well in addition to the main series. 2 films were released - Bean on 2 August 1997 and Mr. Bean's Holiday on 24 March 2007.[2]

The animated Mr. Bean series broadcasted from 2 March 2002 to 1 November 2004 for the first series, 16 February 2015 to 10 March 2016 for the second series, 9 April 2019 to 8 October of same year for the third series.[3]

Currently, animated Mr. Bean is airing the fourth series since 1 May 2025 on ITVX, Boomerang and ITV2.

Mr Bean World Channel[]

This channel posted clips from season 1 and 2 episodes of the animated adaptation from 2013 through early June 2017. Then late 2017 came, the channel start featuring full episodes for Series 1 and 2. Two years later, Series 3 was announced in April 2019, in which the only episode that was uploaded to the channel from that season was "Game Over". On June 2020, the channel stopped uploading.

A year later, on 16 July 2021, the channel returned to uploading again primarily for funny clips and full episodes complications. The channel has remained active since, and is also currently posting clips from the original live-action versions too.

Johnny English[]

Johnny English is a series of action-comedy films starring Rowan Atkinson as the titular character. The series saw 3 films - Johnny English released April 11, 2003, Johnny English Reborn released October 7, 2011 and Johnny English Strikes Again released October 5, 2018. Despite the fact these films rely more heavily on intelligible dialogue than the Mr. Bean series, they still share comedic similarities in the form of physical comedy. Clips from the films have been uploaded to the Mr Bean channel, despite the two series taking place in different universes.
