My Chemical Romance is an American rock band from Newark, New Jersey.

The band was formed in 2001 by Gerard Way, after the Semptember 11 attacks. While with Eyeball Records, they met lead vocalist and guitarist Frank Iero, who joined the band after his band split up. As of January 2022, the band has recorded four studio albums, two live albums, three compilation albums, six EPs, and twenty-five singles. The band's most viewed video on YouTube is Welcome to the Black Parade, the lead single of their studio album The Black Parade, which, as of October 2024, has over 348,176,300 views.[1] The band broke up in 2013 and reunited in private in 2017.
