NCHProductions (born: September 8, 1985)[2][3] is a Singaporean[1] YouTuber, cartoonist, and animator. He is best known for his animations on various topics and franchises, such as Monster Hunter, Pokemon, Mario, Undertale/Deltarune, and many others. He often does what he call "Shots", where as the name suggests, gives a shot at making an animation about something (most of the time, a certain game).[4]
History[]
He uploaded his first video "WE LIVE IN SINGAPURA the MTV version" on November 19, 2006, consisting of an animation accompanied with the titular song, a parody of Billy Joel's song "We Didn't Start the Fire" with lyrics changed to celebrate and poke fun at Singapore's culture.[5] (9 years later, he made a revamped version of the animation as a tribute to SG50.)[6]
NCH would upload his 4chan-related animations "4chan city" and "4chan city Craptastrophe" (both parodies of "Nightmare City" and "Nightmare City: Catastrophe" respectively) onto his channel. Both of them were later featured at Otakon 2007, being presented by the website's founder Christopher "moot" Poole.[7]
NCH uploaded his first Monster Hunter-related video on April 15, 2013.[8] This is where he took his YouTube career seriously, according to a (pinned) comment he made on July 2017 when the video hit a million views.[9]
His channel would hit 1 million subscribers on January 31, 2023. He celebrated with a premiere video of him showing brief snippets of all of his animations at the time, and an unboxing of his Golden Play Button. He also teased a face reveal, which he mostly joked that it will never happen until he hits around 10 million subscribers.[10]
