―NELK

NELK is a group of Canadian and American entertainers known for their prank channel on YouTube. The group was created by Kyle Forgeard (born: July 12, 1994 (1994-07-12) [age 30]) and Jesse William Sebastiani[1] (born: July 24, 1993 (1993-07-24) [age 31]).

YouTuber and entertainer Steve Deleonardis (born: August 26, 1998 (1998-08-26) [age 26]) is also a member of Nelk, and Jason "905 Shooter" Pagaduan (born: July 9, 1994 (1994-07-09) [age 30]) is a former member.

Brand[]

Nelk is known for using the term "Full Send".[2] The term refers to doing something without regard to consequences.[3] "Full Send" is a main theme of Nelk's brand, and it is often said throughout the group's videos, as well as displayed on their merchandise.[4]

Legal Issues[]

Coke Prank[]

In May 2016, Nelk posted a prank in which they told Los Angeles Police Department officers that they had "coke" in the back of the car, leading the officers to think that they were referring to cocaine when in reality they were referring to Coca Cola.[5] The group received a warning, and the LAPD released a statement informing the public that the prank was illegal and warning potential copycat pranksters against doing so.[6]

Bookstore Prank[]

In January 2019, Jesse was arrested during a prank in which he walked into a bookstore wearing a white jumpsuit with fake blood smeared all over it, and asked workers if they had books on covering up a crime scene. He was charged by police and found guilty of disorderly conduct in U.S. Court.[7]

Fan Meetups[]

Nelk has gotten in trouble with authorities in various cities by not informing the city's police department about the fan meetups that the group often plan.[8] Without proper police supervision, these meetups can cause large mobs of fans to swarm the meetup area in an unsafe manner.

Target Prank[]

In May 2020, Nelk was arrested in Mississippi for a prank they did. During the prank, they pretended to be employees at a Target store. It is unknown exactly what happened, as they weren't allowed to show the full video on their channel, but they were bonded out a few hours later.[9]

Parting with 905 Shooter[]

Reason[]

On October 15, 2019, Nelk parted ways with longtime cameraman and editor 905 Shooter. Kyle and Steve said that the reason was that he was lazy behind the scenes, and also alleged that he had been sending inappropriate messages and videos to women. "He didn’t do any work behind the camera at all", Kyle stated. "He was our cameraman, but he wasn’t doing any work behind the camera. People just assumed. He was very lazy. He would huff and puff when you asked him to edit, taking midday naps. For someone to be lazy and not believe in it, it’s not fair".

Steve also shared a story from their trip to Ibiza, which saw a fan hospitalized, explaining that 905 Shooter refused to acknowledge the members of their audience who had been invited along on the trip, saying he "didn’t understand the responsibility".[10]

Philanthropy[]

In April 2020, Nelk participated in a virtual beer pong tournament called "The Ballina Cup" to raise money for the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic.[11][12] The tournament was hosted by Post Malone and featured a number of other celebrities,[13] including rapper Machine Gun Kelly, and former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel.[14] They ended up placing second, after losing the final round to musician JustMike.[15]
