Nathan Anthony "Nate" Hill[citation needed] (born: August 18, 1994 )[citation needed] is an American[citation needed] YouTuber, Twitch streamer, and professional Fortnite: Battle Royale player residing in Los Angeles California.[citation needed] He is a former member of FaZe Clan.[citation needed]
About[]
Before Nate began his career as a professional gamer, he was (and still is) a guitarist, singer and model,[1] creating numerous covers of famous songs. His covers was the start of the Nate Hill channel before switching to Fortnite content completely. Though does focus on gaming full time, he still makes covers occasionally when livestreaming on Twitch.
On August 30, 2018, Nate Hill became a member of FaZe Clan.[2]
Controversy[]
Partner Cheating in a Tournament[]
In the first week of the Fortnite's Fall Skirmish tournament, Nate and his FaZe partner FunkBomb qualified. When FunkBomb was eliminated, it was all up to Nate to win a match in the tournament. Epic Games staff told qualified players to stop spectating after being eliminated to prevent server lag. When FunkBomb did proceed to leave while Nate was still in the game, FunkBomb decided to go to Fortnite's livestream (since the stream had no in-game delay) and pass Nate information on how much health the enemies nearby Nate had. FunkBomb was partially aware about it being cheating as well.[3]
Because of that, Nate Hill received a 2-week ban and FunkBomb received a 4-week ban. After that, Nate was still allowed to earn Prize Pool and still play for the 'Dusty Dogs' Fortnite club. [4]
Hate song on Addison Rae[]
On April 7, 2020, Nate made a now-deleted Twitter video and a TikTok regarding another TikTok star, Addison Rae. Nate was singing about how 'There are better girls than Addison Rae' and mentions there are many other females Nate comes across that are better.[5]
Addison has responded on Twitter stating she has trouble with body image and insecurities, but remains grateful towards the fans and explains to Nate how hurtful his song can be.[6] Nate deleted the Tweet and the TikTok and apologized.[7]
