Hi, Happy Monday

―Nick's intro

Nicholas D. "Nick" Green (born: April 16, 1999 (1999-04-16) [age 25]), better known as Nickisnotgreen or DENTON in the music scene, is an American YouTuber, Twitch Streamer, and musician.

He is mostly known for commentary videos on internet culture and influencers. He has also made political commentaries from a left-wing perspective. Other types of videos include comical skits, gaming videos, musical parodies, and Twitch highlights.

Content[]

Nick makes videos about popular YouTubers, their styles, their humour, and the drama and controversy that surrounds them. He is particularly critical of misogynistic, transphobic, racist, and homophobic content creators.

He has also made videos on fake reviews, YouTube's toxic culture, influencers, the Harry Potter fandom, "thirst" Tiktoks, and social media websites.

Personal Life[]

He went to Belmont University in Nashville, TN and graduated a semester early. He studied Audio Engineering. He is half white and half Filipino. He has an older brother named Austin and a younger brother named Dylan. He lives in Illinois (CST). Nick says that he has questioned his sexuality, but is firm in his belief that he is straight. He is currently in a relationship with fellow YouTuber and musician, Devon Vonder Schmalz, known online as SongPsych.[1]

Collaborations[]

He met Kurtis Conner through TikTok and consequently met Danny Gonzalez through Kurtis. He was also previously an editor for Conner, and appeared in the Baddie SMP, a Minecraft server including Conner and Gonzalez. He has also collaborated with Jack Williams and Jarvis Johnson.

Nick used to be friends with Gus Johnson and the two collaborated on a video together, but after it was revealed that Gus abused his girlfriend and abandoned her during her surgery, Nick disavowed him publicly and condemned his behaviour.[2]

Controversy[]

Feud with Sameer Bhavnani[]

On Febraury 14, 2022, Nick uploaded the video "The Problem with Sameer Bhavnani"[3] where he criticized Sameer Bhavnani for being ableist, having outrage bait, having racist jokes and teaching bad morals like "you shouldn't be racist because the person could end up being rich". Nick also said that Sameer was exploiting his daughter by putting her on YouTube without her consent. He also critisized his shows To Catch a Cheater and American Justice Warriors.

Sameer himself would react where he accused Nick of hating him because he wanted to make money, but avoided all of Nick's main criticms. Nick himself would make another video reacting to him.[4]

Nick also claimed Sameer, despite claiming to comment under his videos, deleted his comment, as did Life Lessons With Luis.[5]
