Not to be confused with NICKtendo.

Nick Riccardi[1] (born: May 17, 2002 (2002-05-17) [age 23]) better known as Nicktendo is an American YouTuber and animator best known for his animations based on SML.

History[]

Before SML[]

Nicktendo started his YouTube channel on March 11, 2015. Initially, Nick started off as a gameplay channel, primarily focusing on Five Night's At Freddy's fan-games, such as One Night At Flumpty's or Five Nights At Wiggles House. He also made some meme animations on Bee Movie and Shrek.

Rise to fame[]

Nicktendo gained some popularity in June of 2017 when he uploaded his first SML animation based on "Jeffy Sneaks Out!". After the major success, Nick's content then shifted over to focus on animating scenes from SML videos.

Being featured on SML[]

In the episode SML Movie: Jeffy's Sleepover!". Nicktendo would make his debut onto the official SML channel, where he animated the story Brooklyn Guy told in the episode. Later on, in "Bowser Junior's Wings!", Nick would once more animate for SML, this time being for the episode's Red Bull commercial. Since then, Nicktendo has gone on to be featured in numerous SML episodes, where he primarily animates Brooklyn Guy's stories.

Criticism[]

Nicktendo has been criticized for quite a while within the SML community, and outside of it. This mostly chalks down to the animation, which most took a disliking towards, due to it's style, and the way it was animated itself. Most found the art style ugly, or unamusing. In 2018, Nicktendo uploaded his now-deleted rant video mocking his hatebase over their criticisms of his content, and depicted the haters as children by using a stock image of angry kids.

During 2022, people started to dislike Nicktendo's animations even more, whenever they appeared in a video, due to it being filler. This usually happens when Brooklyn Guy recounts stories, to other characters. The SML episode, "Who Hurt Jeffy?" is a notable example of this, as due to the amount of flashbacks in the episode, the animation takes up 6 minutes of the 11-minute runtime.
