Nike, or Nike, Inc., is an American sportswear corporation known for their shoes, clothing, and equipment products. It is headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon.[1]

History[]

Nike was originally known as “Blue Ribbon Sports” and was founded by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman on January 25, 1964, as a track athlete and coach.[2] Bowerman made the first pair of Nike shoes for Otis Davis.[3]

The popular quote, “Just do it”, was coined by Dan Wieden, who claimed that the inspiration for the quote was from American murderer Gary Gilmore before execution.[4]

The channel was created on March 7, 2006,[5] and the first video was uploaded on February 15, 2019.[6] Many notable athletes have appeared in many of their videos, and are even sponsored.[7] Basketball, soccer, football, and skateboarding are the most notable sports to appear on the channel.[8]

The channel was created on April 13, 2006,[9] and the first video was uploaded on February 6, 2019.[10] Videos related to soccer are uploaded, along with featuring many popular soccer players, like Cristiano Ronaldo.[11]

Nike Soccer[]

The channel was created on October 19, 2005,[12] and the first video was uploaded on the same day.[13] Much like the previous channel, videos related to soccer were uploaded to the channel.[14] The channel is notable for uploading the first ever video to reach 1 million views, which is “Ronaldinho: Touch of Gold.”[15]

The channel was created on July 6, 2006,[16] and the first video was uploaded on September 30, 2011.[17] Videos related to skateboarding are uploaded to the channel, along with featuring notable skateboarders.[18]
