Nikolas Daniel Adegbajumo "Niko" Omilana (born: March 4, 1998 (1998-03-04)), previously known as omilana7^{[citation needed]}, is an English-Liberlandian YouTuber, 2021 London mayoral candidate and 2024 UK general election candidate. Niko is best known for his prank style content. He is a member of the group Beta Squad.

About

Niko is an English YouTuber, born in London but raised in Staffordshire with his sisters after the divorce of his parents. He was born to an English mother and a Yoruba Nigerian father. Niko gained popularity for his parody videos, original comedic sketches, pranks and various vlog entries. He is also the founder of the NDL Movement (Niko Defence League). Niko is now part of the 8-million subscribed Beta Squad. Niko’s videos see impressive levels of exposure, amassing millions of views with every upload. One of his most popular videos uploaded to his channel was a parody of the Drake and Future song "Jumpman".

YouTube Career

He uploaded his first video on YouTube in 2009, on a personal channel where his father had made an appearance. The video has been privated. He started his YouTube channel on June 21, 2011 at the age of 13 where he made regular videos on FIFA and creating skits. He played FIFA with his friend known as Johnny Carey and made skits with him too. He included REEV in a video titled "BECOMING A YOUTUBE SENSATION".

The most popular series of his channel is "Fake Employee Prank" which he has done in McDonald's, Subway, Apple Store, Asda, Tesco, Ikea and Starbucks etc. He ended up getting kicked out in every Ikea and Asda Store in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He collaborates with YouTubers such as Chunkz, Sharky, KingKennyTv, and Aj Shabeel. He has also collaborated with The Zac and Jay Show. In early 2019, he founded the group Beta Squad along with Chunkz, Sharky, AJ Shabeel and Kenny. On August 26, 2019, Niko acquired 1 million subscribers.

Trolling the EDL

In May 2018, Niko released one of his earlier viral videos where he trolled the EDL. Niko, accompanied by his friend Keith who acted as his father decided to become "EDL TV" and attended the EDL protest. Niko managed to interview several members of the EDL including the organiser of the protest who even disallowed legitimate news networks from filming the protest except for Niko's fictitious news network. During his interview with the EDL, he purposefully interrupted his interview, called them schmucks and trolled them. After they caught on his trolling, news spread throughout the crowd that "he was taking the mickey out of them" and proceeded to inform the police, who put the stop on Niko's mock interviews.

The following week, Niko released another video saying that he had received hate and r*cist message. In response, he formed the Niko Defence League (NDL) , a satirical organisation of the EDL. In late 2018, he dressed up as an old man on a wheel chair and attended an another EDL protest. This time, however, supporters of the EDL were gullible enough to believe Niko's disguise that he was allowed and prioritised to meet Tommy Robinson, founder of the EDL, and even convinced him to shout out Niko's NDL merch.

Ringside

On August 15, 2018 he successfully snuck into the KSI vs. Logan Paul boxing match, Niko was able to sneak into the ring. He made multiple prank interviews with celebrities such as Jake Paul, Logan Paul and Shannon Briggs. On November 9, 2019 he successfully snuck into the KSI vs. Logan Paul boxing rematch and attempted to get in the ring, which he did but he was unfortunately kicked out by the security guards. These successful stunts earned him the respect of some YouTubers around the globe.

On January 30, 2020, Niko had to disguise himself as "Reng Sayeed" resembling a Saudi prince in order to attend the Jake Paul vs. AnEsonGib boxing event as he was blacklisted from the event due to his previous "Ringside" pranks. He managed to get into the VIP section and met some of his YouTuber friends. Despite that, security personnel wanted to arrest him for not having ID and banned him from the event. The police were also involved, and "Reng Sayeed" had to give his identity to be released.

On March 9, 2020, Niko worked with Zerkaa to prank the Sidemen in their SIDEMEN DRAGONS DEN video where Niko had spicy chilies.

On Jun 27, 2021 Niko participated as a contestant in the Sidemen's THE WHEEL: SIDEMEN EDITION, where he was the first man to be brought up. Although he claims he has good science, he chose 'YouTube' and managed to answer correctly, although he needed Vik's help. He then chooses 'Memes', with Josh as the expert. Despite Josh's suggestion, Niko opt to pick a different answer (and the rest of the sidemen aware that Niko got it wrong), which resulted in Josh being correct and Niko being sent down. After Calfreezy got his question wrong, Niko returns back with the selection staying the same as before. He shuts down Josh for not convincing him enough despite having it right. He chose 'Memes' once again, this time with KSI as the expert. Although KSI was much more certain, Niko once again defied the expert and KSI was proven right. Realizing the fact that it was him who keeps sabotaging his success, he states that "I'm just stupid". He returns down, never coming back up but getting 10k by Callux.

2021 London Election

On 31 March 2021, Niko announced he was going to be a candidate for the 2021 London mayoral elections, Niko started campaigning on 4 April. On 19 April, he told Boris Johnson, the current prime minister at the time, to "shush". On 24 April, he opened a "5-star restaurant" on a bus". On 6 May, he officially released a satirical manifesto stating that he wanted to give "free public transport for under 18s and over 69s" and a "6.9% increase for the minimum wage", both referencing the 69 sexual position. At the end of the mayoral elections, Niko placed fifth place with 2% of the votes, with a quick interview with the BBC News after the announcement, Niko stated he did it "for the vibes".

Interviewing the KKK Leader

On April 25, 2022, Niko managed to get an interview with Thomas Robb, the leader of KKK (Ku Klux Klan). He set out to visit Harrison, Arkansas (reputedly being America's most racist town) to locate the KKK leader. Niko and his team found Thomas Robb's residence in Zinc, Arkansas, and attempted to interview him. Niko pretended to be a BBC journalist to interview Thomas Robb. They were initially denied entry but managed to schedule an interview the next day. During the interview, Niko tricked Robb into saying some fake names to read out such as "Imar Nonce", "imap_ussay" and "sue.kmadeek". Towards the end of the interview, Niko baited Robb into shouting out a fake person called “B-yell-eem”, pronouncing it BLM (Black Lives Matter). Before leaving the town, he decided to help Richard by giving him $5000 to help with his medical expenses as Richard has helped him a lot throughout his journey in Harrison. The video has now amassed more than 40 million views on YouTube, easily becoming Niko's most popular YouTube video ever.

Menace-Off with JiDion

On March 21 2023, Niko and JiDion announced that they were going to released a series called "The Biggest Menace" where each person will undergo a series of challenges chosen by the other person to reveal who is the "biggest menace".

On March 26, Niko released the first part of the series titled "We Pranked The Mona Lisa" where Niko challenged JiDion to hang the "Clapped Lisa" in Louvre, Paris. JiDion eventually succeeded after two attempts, and even surpassed Niko's expectations by getting arrested by the French police and was detained for a day.

On March 26, the second part of the series was released titled "I Got Attacked By A Heavyweight Champion" also on Niko's channel. This time Niko is now going to do Jidion's challenge which is to be a food delivery driver and prank the customers by eating their food. However, there is a twist at the end where unbeknownst to Niko, the last customer is Shannon Briggs, who had "beef" with Niko.

On April 18, the finale titled We Ruined An Award Show was uploaded. The prank was about a fake award show called ‘Song, Music and Dance Awards’, or ‘SMD’ or ‘Suck My Dick’ with actors involved in order to play with JiDion’s empathy. The folding came when JiDion would have to announce who would win the acoustic award from four names. The one in bold when said would make him fold, and if he said the other three would make him cry, considering he was obliged to read the other names. The finale ended with JiDion reading out the name in bold as the acoustic winner, resulting in JiDion folding and Niko winning the Biggest Menace.

Sneaking Into A Banned Country

On July 28, 2023, Niko uploaded a video titled "SNEAKING Into A BANNED Country", when he was introduced to the small unhabituated nation of Liberland by its president Vit Jedlicka. Niko and his friend tried to go through Serbia but they were denied access due to them bringing the Liberlandian flag, they went through Croatia but they were denied access and the guards told them to go back. But they went via Hungary and went past the Croatian police into the island to put the flag of the micronation. They did but they were detained by the Croatian police and kicked. They were released and Niko officialy became a citizen of Liberland.

2024 United Kingdom General Election

In June 2024, Niko registered as a candidate for the 2024 United Kingdom general election with 11 different constituencies. This raised concerns and prompted a police investigation as it is an offense to provide false information on nomination papers. Niko claimed to have convinced people to legally change their names to "Niko Omilana" so that different candidates could stand under his name in several constituencies. Each person standing as "Niko Omilana" was a resident at a different address and had nomination papers that were signed by different members of the public. Ultimately, Omilana obtained 160 votes. During former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's concession speech, Niko attracted media attention when he pranked Sunak by holding up a piece of paper with the letter "L" behind him, referring to Sunak as a "Loser."

Trivia

• Niko made a viral tweet that garnered over almost 100k likes back in 2017, where he joked about his dad "being completely immune to black and white filter". Niko's dad actually has made appearance in one of Beta Squad's video.
• According to Chunkz, Niko has 5 siblings ("2 mixed race, 2 black, 1 white"). He has two full sisters named Olivia and Indigo, along with two paternal half-siblings, Diran (half-brother) and Dior (half-sister). Additionally, he also has a maternal half-sister named Tallulah.
  • Olivia has featured in several of Niko's videos.
  • Dior also has appeared in his video , where Niko tried pranking a toy store by returning her little sister instead of the doll.
• He has trolled several YouTubers such as Jake Paul, Logan Paul, their dad and their trainer Shannon Briggs, calling them nonces. He managed to do that twice on Jake.
• Niko was blacklisted by DAZN for the AnEsonGib vs. Jake Paul fight following his actions at both of the KSI vs. Logan Paul fights. He changed his identity to Reng Sayeed and also changed his face. He didn't make it into the ring this time, but to get past the guards was a massive achievement for him. He got kicked out of the arena mid-fight.
• Niko's feet size (in UK) is 13.
• He stands at 195.6 centimeters or 6′ 5″ foot tall.
• He studied Film & TV at university but decided to drop out soon after.
• Niko revealed that he doesn't swear anymore because when he was a kid, he got told off by a woman after screaming swear words at a kid's party.
• Niko has a cat named Lil Reng Sayeed which was given by Aj Shabeel as a gift for his birthday in 2020. Lil Reng Sayeed has since been living with Niko's family in Stafford after the Beta Squad moved houses and their new landlord prohibited animals in the property. Niko also claims in a Beta Squad mukbang video that he is allergic to cats.
• Niko had another cat named Lil Ring Side which was under his care for 24 hours. Both Lil Ring Side and Lil Reng Sayeed are named after Ring Side, Niko's pseudonym used when he attempted to enter the boxing ring during KSI vs Logan Paul.
• He is a supporter of Manchester United F.C.
• He participated in Soccer Aid 2023 charity match.
• Niko met Chunkz in March 2016 at a gaming event, surprisingly beating him in a FIFA match as Chunkz was the champion of the FIFA tournament the day before.
