The service was launched in the United States on October 28, 2014, as CBS All Access[citation needed]

CBS All Access expanded internationally in April 2018, reaching Canada, and Australia introduced its own version, 10 All Access, on December 4, 2018.[citation needed]

Re-merger of CBS and Viacom[]

CBS All Access, as part of the re-merger between CBS Corporation and Viacom, announced the addition of Nickelodeon's programming as part of its wider children's programming launch, alongside partners like Boat Rocker Studios and WildBrain.[1][2]

Rebrand as Paramount+[]

CBS All Access will rebrand as Paramount+ in 2021, with plans for further international expansion under the new name.[citation needed]

Paramount+ was announced on January 19, 2021, to launch on March 4, 2021, with details to be revealed during an investor event on February 24, 2021.[3]

On March 4, 2021, Paramount+ was relaunched with additional streaming content and rebranding efforts.[4] In August 2021, Paramount+ was announced to shut down in Nordic Europe in 2022 for SkyShowtime, a joint venture with Comcast-owned Sky Group, including content from Showtime, Sky Studios, and NBCUniversal.[5]

On September 6, 2006, Paramount Plus created their YouTube channel. The first video was uploaded on February 21, 2019, titled "The Twilight Zone | Season 1 Official Trailer | Paramount+".[6].
