Reine Pavolia (birthday: September 9) is an Indonesian VTuber affiliated with Hololive as part of its second generation alongside Ollie Kureiji and Anya Melfissa.

Content

Reine's debut was livestreamed on December 6, 2020. She has streamed a lot of games such as Super Mario 64, Cooking Simulator, Hanako, Phantasy Stars 2 Online, Elden Ring, Zero Escape:The Nonary Games, Core Games, APEX Legends, The Night Way Home, Bleach: Brave Souls, Passpartout, House Flipper, Klonoa, Journey to the Savage Planet, Minecraft, Among Us, AI: The Somnium Files, Monster Hunter Rise, UnderTale, Ace Attorney, Cuphead, Fatal Frame and Klonoa. She has even played fan games like HoloCure.

She is quite skilled at drawing as shown by her various illustrations of "chat food". The next video she released after her debut stream was her original song, Gate: Open START, and for her 2021 birthday celebration, she released its full version. Her most popular video is her cover of KING, which boosted her to 250,000 subscribers hours after release. Other songs she has covered include Ussewa - Ado, Cinderella - DECO*27 and Envy Baby - Kanaria.

Reine also hosts a series called "Room Review" where she investigates and rates her viewer's rooms. She has also reviewed and rated their pets. Occasionally she will try random ideas like acting out prompts her fans send her. She has read the Little Witch Academia light novel series to her viewers on stream in 2021. She also reads fanfiction of herself.

Her first ASMR was a yandere roleplay.

YABE (Yet Another Brunch Everyone)

Reine hosts regular Brunch streams on weekends, as well as viewer-submitted fan-fiction reading streams. In these streams she talks about food. YABE was originally meant to be a one off thing but she developed it into a series after it became popular with her viewers. The name of the series, YABE, is a pun on the Japanese phrase "YABE!", which can mean "No!" or "Oh no!" depending on context. It is also frequently said by fellow talent Fubuki Shirakami.

In these short streams Reine talks about whatever she wants.

Collaborations

Her first collaboration with her genmates was of her Phasmophobia stream, and usually if she collaborated, that was the game of choice. On 9 January, Reine held her first collaboration with a non-genmate, playing PHOGS! with Kiara, and would later appear as a guest on her talk show. She often appears in Ollie's gaming streams and Ollie has stated that Reine is like a big sister to her.

She has collaborated with Amelia for Minecraft. She has also played Portal 2 with IRyS, played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with Baelz, and usually plays Minecraft with Moona. Gura and Reine have reviewed feet together.

She has featured Siska Leontyne in a cooking stream, and the two collaborated again to play Dead by Daylight. Lenri featured Reine in a Phasmophobia stream, and Reine, IRyS and Anya played Payday 2 together. She and Fauna have also played Minecraft together. Reine and IRyS have also played Operation: Tango, and the next day Reine and Calliope played Clubhouse 51 games and had a fishing tournament.

She has sang songs with Nene, Calliope, Towa, Suisei and Risu.

Reine was also in the EN x ID Mario Kart tournament and the EN/ID/JP Among Us tournament. Mumei, Reine, Ollie, Sana, Calliope and IRyS also competed in the EN x ID Pokemon Holo Throw Down; Sana won. Sana and Reine have also played games on the Super Famicom together.

In May 2022, Kiara and Reine went on a vacation to the Maldives. During this time they held chatting streams, Q&A streams and karaoke streams together, and even streamed the games Super Smash Bros. Ultimate together. After their vacation they covered the English version of Animal - DECO*27.

In December 2022, Reine went to Japan and met Iida Pochii in real life.

Reine's classroom

In 2021 she became somewhat of an educational channel as she started to teach her native tongue, Bahasa Indonesian, in a series she called "Reine's Classroom" and her first guest was Marine, then Subaru, then Towa, and then Polka. Her fifth guest was Coco Kiryu, who proceeded to ask her to say things like "nipples", "fisting" and other lewd things in Indonesian. Her sixth guest was Fubuki Shirakami, her seventh was Nene Momosuzu, her eighth was Choco Yuzuki, her ninth was Akai Haato, her tenth was Kronii Ouro and her eleventh was Fauna Ceres. Usually in Reine's classroom, she will ask her guests to remember certain phrases as she roleplays scenarios, as well as quiz them with random questions.

Design

Her character designer is Iida Pochii. The two are good friends, and Reine gets excited whenever she appears in her chat. Reine shares her illustrator with Ulta Natsume, Anzu Honemori, Sen Yukimaru, DiscoTei Meteo and Lenri Ashieda.

Pochi said her friendship with Iofi was why she applied to be a character designer for Hololive. Because of this, Reine nicknamed Iofi "tante" (Bahasa Indonesian for "aunt").

At 172cm, she was at one point the second tallest Hololive VTuber, behind Coco who is 180cm. However since Coco's graduation in Summer 2021, one can consider Reine the tallest Hololive member. As of March 25, 2022, with the debut of Kaela Kovalskia, who is 173cm, Reine is no longer the tallest Hololive member.

Her modeler is 入江燈 and her second costume was modelled by カワナミ.

Lore

Lady of the Peafowl. While studying at a magic academy, she was involved in an incident and transferred to the human world.

Since then, she has been unable to use much of her magic.

Very fond of sweets, but weak with overly spicy food. At first glance, she seems to be the elegant type, but people who spend some more time with her will find out that she has more of a dorky personality. To quite a number of viewers, her laugh has been perceived as similar to a car engine starting.

Fandom

Her fanbase is officially called "MERAKyats" (a pun of "Merak" and "Rakyat" which means "Peacock" and "People", respectively). The word "Merakyat" itself has the meaning of "being humble" in Indonesian.

Members of her channel are called Royaltea, and they gain access to perks such as hearing her practice singing hololive songs. Reine also hosts watchalongs for her members, so far having hosted streams of watching Mean Girls and Local 58 News. They can also play games with her such as Gartic Phone.

Notable Merakyats include Just Some Guy with a Mustache, who praised her cover of KING - Kanaria, and Yasyfi, who praised her cover of Ussewa - Ado. Ollie's sister is a huge fan of Reine, and when she got to speak with her for the first time she was very anxious.

In-jokes/memes

• Reine plugging herself, her memberships and advertising her merch.
• Reine will often prank/troll Merakyats. One time, she promised them she would clean her room if she reached 400,000 subscribers...only to throw away a single ball of paper and said it counted as "cleaning".
• GWS ("Get Well Soon").
• She hates being called "Turkey", and got offended at Kiara calling her one (though this was because Kiara genuinely thought she was one and didn't realize how it was hurtful to her). However, many have pointed out that "Pavo" in Spanish means "Turkey", and her family name is Pavolia. Because of this many fans call her a Turkey.
• Reine once taught Marine the Indonesian word for delusional, "halu". It is often repeated in her chats. Chat also like to bring up "Mudah Sekali" (Marketing Skill).
• Using the nicknames Kanjeng Reine, Reine-sensei, Reine mama, Reine-nee and Turkey to refer to Reine.
• Whenever Reine takes a break from streaming, Merakyats start debating/discussing soup until she gets back.
• Reine's birthday is 9/9, 9 months after her debut. Because of this, Merakyats often say "Is that a 999 reference"?

• Reine's PTSD whenever the word "Tonjok" is mentioned.

On April 26, 2022, Anime Boston announced that their convention would feature hololive talents Reine, Ollie, Kronii and Fauna. She also appeared in the 2022 Crunchyroll Expo and Comifuro Virtual 2022.

On October 20, 2022, Youmacon tweeted that Risu, Reine, Fauna and Mumei were to appear and fans had a chance to greet them.
