Peep Show is an adult British comedy broadcast by Channel 4. It was originally aired between 2003 - 2015, although the YouTube channel still regularly uploads clips from the show. The program centers around two dysfunctional school friends, Mark Corrigan (David Mitchell) and Jeremy "Jez" Usbourne (Robert Webb), who share a flat in Croydon, South London. The program is recorded almost entirely from the perspective of the two main characters, and allows the audience to listen in to the two's thoughts and feelings. The two characters often get into unusually specific situations, such as Mark missing his son's christening due to getting locked into Jeremy's girlfriend's apartment.
Main Characters[]
- Mark Corrigan is a somewhat narcissistic employee at JLB Credit, a fictional financial services company. He is usually the more responsible one of the pair, although he is socially and sexually awkward and spends much of the series trying to find "the one".
- Jeremy "Jez" Usbourne is Mark's roommate. He is unemployed and usually depicted as very irresponsible and of questionable intelligence. However, he is more confident than Mark both socially and sexually, and often gives Mark advice in that regard. However, his relationships are usually short-lived, as he is shown to be unable to properly commit to a relationship.
- Super Hans (Matt King) is one of Jeremy's friends and a drughead. He and Jez play in a failing heavy metal band that frequently changes name. Outside of the band, his appearances often focus on his inability to stop doing drugs.
