Rakim Hasheem Allen † (December 9, 1991 - September 12, 2022 [aged 30]), better known professionally as PnB Rock, was an American rapper known for his music and his collaborations with other artists.
Life[]
Allen was born on December 9, 1991, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up listening to rappers such as 2Pac and group Jodeci. At age 13, Allen was sent to a detention program for committing crimes. At age 19, he was sentenced to 33 months in prison for drug possession and for a few crimes.
Career[]
Allen adopted his name, PnB Rock, which paid homage to a street corner, Pastorius and Baynton, where he grew up. In 2014, he released his debut mixtape called Real N*gga Bangaz, writing it while he was incarcerated. In 2015, he signed a deal with Atlantic Records, releasing his first project and third mixtape titled RnB3. In 2016, he released a hit single, titled "Selfish", peaking at 51 at the US Billboard Hot 100.
He would then release his second mixtape album, GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions. He participated in the soundtrack of the movie The Fate of the Furious with two singles.
In 2022, he released his last single, "Luv Me Again".

Allen created his channel on June 29, 2015, and he uploaded his first video on July 14, 2015. He uploaded music videos, audio, and lyric videos to his channel.
Death[]
While eating at a Roscoe's House of Chicken 'N Waffles restaurant with his girlfriend in Los Angeles, California, he was robbed and fatally shot. He was 30.
