SungWon Cho (born December 9, 1990 (1990-12-09) [age 33]), better known online as ProZD, is an Korean-American YouTuber known for his short skits and his career in voice acting for video games and television shows.

Content[]

Before coming to YouTube, he was very popular on his Vine account, which had over 140,000 followers at the time of Vine's closing. His YouTube channel became a popular outlet to showcase his Vine jokes, often making fun of tropes in video games and anime; he has also featured videos of tags and unboxings.

The recurring theme of his skits is that he plays all characters himself, usually in different voices so that they can be easily distinguished. He also sometimes uses fake moustaches or monocles (on top of his own glasses) depending on the personality of the character.

He also has a career in voice-acting, providing his voice in some video games such as Apotheon, A Hat in Time, Norse Noir: Loki's Exile, Chapter 1, and Fire Emblem Heroes.

The King Dragon Universe[]

The majority of his video game skits take place within the same universe and feature the same characters. Despite being no longer than half a minute individually, the skits do appear to follow a semi-coherent story. Characters in this universe include Dennis (the player, whose name is a reference to adventure games that let you name your own character) and his companion Archibald, who are on a quest to save Prince Horace from King Dragon and his minion Lysanderoth. The universe seems to consist of multiple games of different genres, including RPGs and Gacha games.

ProZD Plays Games[]

On April 26, 2021, he announced the launch of his new let's play channel, ProZD Plays Games, in which he plays video games with his friend and channel editor Jay. During its first month, the channel featured Nintendo 64 games developed by Nintendo.

Personal life[]

SungWon used to live in Minnesota, where he was born. He later relocated to Haslett, Michigan, about 17 minutes away from Lansing. As of July 2018, he resides in Burbank, California. After becoming engaged in October, 2015, SungWon married his now-wife Anne Marie Salter. They have two pet cats, Effie and Sophie, who sometimes appear in his skits.
