Ben launched his YouTube channel in June of 2012 as quadecax8 originally and became known for uploading FIFA-related content at that time.
He would release a album titled Nostalgia for the Now under his stage name Quadeca in May of 2016. He previously put out singles called "You Can't Rap," "Mind's Eye" and "Everything I'd Ever Need."
Quadeca released his second studio album titled “Bad Internet Rapper” on January 31, 2017. He put out singles for the album titled, “2020”, “Unscripted”, and “2016 Was A Bad Year”.
In mid-2017, Quadeca would release “Who Would’ve Thought”, which popularized his career a little. He would also release a third studio album titled “Out of Order” featuring artists like Quentin Miller, K.A.A.N., Rob Curly, and Peter Kuli. The “Out of Order” album had some of Quadeca’s most popular songs to date containing Wonderful, idontwannaspeakagain, and Idgaf.
In October 2018, Quadeca formed a duo with Saint G and released a 7 track EP titled ”24HOURCHALLENGE”. The EP was done within 24 hours. It was originally titled “1DAY”. Since then, Saint G makes recurring appearances in Quadeca’s YouTube videos.
On March 8, 2019, Quadeca released his fourth studio album titled “Voice Memos”. The album went #2 on the iTunes R&B/Hip-Hop charts. The album had singles such as “The Man on My Left Shoulder”, “Uh-Huh”, “War!” (featuring Dax), and “Unusual" (featuring B. LOU). This album received mainly positive reviews.
Quadeca has confirmed he has an upcoming mixtape with Sad Frosty.
On March 30, 2021, Quadeca surprise dropped his fifth studio album "From Me To You" a day earlier than the release date he teased on Twitter. Firstly announced in the music video for "SCHOENBERG" featuring Moxas on September 27, 2019, "From Me To You" debuted and peaked at #7 on the iTunes charts. The album was Quadeca's most experimental album to date, showcasing a drastic shift in Quadeca's style. The album was preceded by three singles, "Where'd You Go?" (April 8th, 2020), "Alone Together" (April 29th, 2020), and "Sisyphus" (March 20, 2021).
Outside of the albums, Quadeca has dropped "I Don't Care!" (2.1M), "SCHOENBERG" featuring Moxas (1.1M), "FISH OUTTA BACARDI" featuring EGOVERT (1.2M), and "BEAMIN'" (2.1M).
In June 2021, Quadeca underwent nasal surgery to treat a sinus infection caused by former soccer injuries.[1]
On September 19, 2022, Lasky released the lead single to his third album I Didn't Mean to Haunt You, titled "Born Yesterday". He then released the album's second single, titled "Tell Me a Joke", on October 25, 2022. On the same day, he announced his album, revealing the cover art, tracklist, and release date. I Didn't Mean to Haunt You was scheduled to release on November 11, 2022, however was ultimately released a day earlier on November 10.
On October 3, 2023, Lasky announced via his Twitter and Instagram pages an upcoming project, "The Scrapyard Series". Lasky detailed that the project would consist of five separate 2-3 song EPs, each one being released every 2-3 weeks. The first EP was released on October 11, 2023, titled SCRAPYARD I. The second EP, SCRAPYARD II, was released October 30, 2023, and the third EP, SCRAPYARD III, was released on November 22, 2023. On December 24, 2023, Lasky announced that the remainder of the SCRAPYARD EPs would not be released, but promised that the series would "go out with a bang." On February 6, 2024, Lasky announced the release of SCRAPYARD, a mixtape containing all of the previously released EP tracks, with seven new ones, including a feature from Kevin Abstract.
On February 15, 2024, Lasky published his music video 'WAY TOO MANY FRIENDS' on YouTube, teasing his upcoming album 'Vanisher, Horizon Scraper', at the end of the video. The album is currently in progress.
Personal Life[]
Ben is Hispanic and wanted to be a professional soccer player in his youth. He is perceived to be agnostic from his lyrics in his songs "You Can't Rap" and "Not a Diss Track" but has spoken he likes the way of deism also on the No Jumper interview.
He dated a girl named Isabella but was cheated on and the relationship ended in 2017, with him releasing a song "idontwannaspeakagain" for that reason. He also has a younger sister.
