RSS is a method of feed syndication for the most recent postings to a website; it allows for people to subscribe to updates through an external standalone application or third-party aggregator.

On YouTube, RSS is used to syndicate postings to user accounts, tags or full-text searches. Special feed URLs are used by YouTube to syndicate Most Viewed, Most Discussed, Top Favorites and Top Rated based upon lengths of time.

Playlists can be syndicated by user, but not by search term or tag. There are no RSS feeds for groups.
