Rage of Light is a Melodic Death Metal band that combines trance with melodic death metal to make very unique sounds. They're a popular up and coming band in this genre not only for this reason, but also for their lead singer being female, which is rather rare in death metal. They formed in 2007 in Switzerland. Jonathan Pellet, (backing vocals, keyboards, drums, and programming, and also bass guitar since 2018). The other members includes Melissa Bonny, (lead vocals, she joined in 2015), Noé Schüpbach, (lead guitar and bass guitar, he joined in 2015), and Vincent Wenger, (drums, he joined in 2019). Since their inception in 2007, they've released a total of one extended play, Chasing a Reflection, (2016), and one studio album, Imploder, (2019).
Melissa Bonny is also notable for not only collaborating with other bands on occasion, such as on the Warkings' songs Sparta and Odin's Sons, and doing covers on their official YouTube channels of other bands songs, such as Twilight of the Thunder God by Amon Amarth. She's also the lead singer of the Symphonic Metal band Ad Infinitum.
