Brian James McManus, better known online as Real Engineering, is an Irish YouTuber who makes videos about engineering and technology. He publishes videos on topics such as planes, renewable energy, and military technology. For example, Brian made a video titled "The Economics of Nuclear Energy". During the COVID-19 pandemic, he made a video about ventilators. As of July 2023, the channel has over 4 million subscribers and over 418 million video views.[1] McManus stated in a video about the OceanGate submersible disaster that he had worked as a composite design engineer and that he earned his Master's Thesis in "composite failure prediction".[2]
