Tomas "Tom" Gardiner, better known online as ReniDrag (also known as Reni) (born: November 4, 2004)[1][2] is a Welsh YouTuber, Animator and Game Developer known for his video game mods, mainly being his Minecraft mods.
History[]
Gardiner made his channel on December 20, 2017. He started off making Among Us content where he would invite his viewers to join him in among us lobbies and play with them on his YouTube lives. As this wasn't bringing him many viewers he decided to move to twitch where he started streaming his Minecraft viewer SMP, which gained him Twitch partner. Through Twitch partner, Gardiner would receive raids from popular creators, such as foolish games and iballisticsquid. As well as the raids, he got a £10,000 donation from MrBeast, which he decided to make a YouTube shorts video about.[3] He deleted all his videos prior to September 20, 2020.
During his venture into Twitch, Gardiner also tried his hand at TikTok, uploading a TikTok which amassed millions of views, in which he states 'I was the person who asked', this is in reference to when someone says Who, and then says Asked. He thought 'hmm, let me make some dosh of of this' and uploaded the TikTok.[4]
The first video he made was "So Mrbeast donated £10,000... #shorts"[5] which is a Youtube Short. But, the first video was "Minecraft manhunt but it's REVERSED!"[6] which was uploaded on March 23th, 2021.
However, he would begin to gain notoriety due to the popularity Luke TheNotable's "100 Days" trend. His first "100 Days" video posted on July 9th, 2021 titled "I Survived 100 Days In a Minecraft ANT FARM (Here's What Happened) Part 1",[7] would go viral and have 1-million views. This caused his channel to increase by 20,000 subscribers within a month. He then posted several more "100 Days" videos which average around 120k-views.
He made his first Minecraft Mod video on October 22, 2021 titled "I made your custom mod ideas in Minecraft...",[8], the video blew up, getting at least 1.1-million views. These efforts would then allow his channel to skyrocket to 100K subscribers, granting him the Silver Play Button.
On February 8, 2022, Gardiner would upload his most viewed video "I Put Every Minecraft Texture Through Google Translate 100 Times".[9] This video was pretty popular due to the memes shown in the video gaining at least 1.6-million views and 42k likes. His channel would then reach 200K subscribers within four-month span.
