Ridddle is a Russian YouTube channel that uploads about educational videos.
Content
They upload educational and science videos in English. They sometimes upload science-fiction.
Criticism
They have been criticized by many online groups, most notably The Outline, because of the fact that their most popular video, titled "If You Detonated a Nuclear Bomb In The Marianas Trench” has over 17 million views with the fact that it contains completely false and speculative information under the guise of science. The title of the video was later amended after backlash and rapid subscriber loss, adding the disclaimer “(Fantasy not science)”.
In July 2018, the science YouTube channel Kurzgesagt released a video titled “What If You Detonated A Nuclear Bomb in the Marianas Trench? (Science not fantasy)” which, although not referencing the original video, refuted all the original’s claims.
