Roger Hodgson (born: March 21, 1950[1] is a British[citation needed] singer and songwriter best known for his work with Supertramp.[2] Hodgson was Supertramp's co-lead vocalist, he also played keyboards and guitar and sung the songs The Logical Song, Breakfast in America, Take the Long way Home, Give a little bit, Lord is it mine, School, Child of Vision, and Dreamer.[citation needed]

Charles Roger Pomfret Hodgson was born on March 21, 1950.[3] As a child he was sent to boarding school, his time at boarding school would inspire him to write the Logical song.[4]
Supertramp[]
In 1969, he founded Supertramp with Rick Davies. Hodgson wrote some of Supertramp's most successful songs. In 1983, he left Supertramp to pursue a solo career and spend more time with his family.[citation needed]
Solo Carrer[]
In 1984, he released the album In the Eye of the Storm, the album was a success.[5] In 1987, Hodgson released his next album Hai Hai.[6] TOTO members Steve Lukather and David Paich would play on the album.[7]
In 1990, Hodgson was offered to join the band Yes as their lead singer, but Hodgson declined.[citation needed]
In 1997, Hodgson started to tour again and released a new album titled Rites of Passage.[8] In 2000, Roger released another solo album called Open the Door.[9] In 2010, he would release his album Classic Live where he played Supertramp songs live.[10]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Hodgson canceled all of his live performances.[11]
