Benjamin Robert Simon[2], better known online as Ruben Sim is an American[1] YouTuber known for his Roblox gaming and criticism videos. He is known for being terminated on multiple accounts for his actions in him criticizing the Roblox moderation team. He has been involved in several sting operations catching online predators.
History[]
He uploaded his first video on August 28, 2010.[3] He uploaded the first video of Roblox Games Experiences, titled "The Roblox Hospital Experience", on June 28, 2018 which later became the second most watched video.[4] Usually, he uses text to speech when Robloxians speak in his videos. Sometimes he also uses his original voice.
Ruben has multiple Roblox accounts that are terminated (most notable ones being navy898 and GetCampedOnNERD) for making several satirical videos mocking the Roblox Moderation team and their hypocritical actions. One of his most recent videos questions why the team closed its own game, Runker 51 because of "extreme blood and gore content", but other games such as Phantom Forces or Bloodfest are allowed much higher amounts of blood.
On September 9, 2021, his account is banned for abusing and swearing in the Roblox Voice Chat feature which was enabled for 5,000 developers that were chosen randomly, this has caused some controversy due to that in the video he posted titled "Swearing at Roblox Admins With Voice Chat" there can be seen multiple other developers supposedly abusing, swearing, making sexual noises in the Voice Chat Feature.[5]
Controversies[]
Exposing MisterObvious[]
In June of 2017, Ruben exposed a 2014 Bloxy Award winner named MisterObvious of committing predatory behavior towards a 15-year-old girl on Discord. The video also includes images of other girls claiming that MisterObvious sexually solicited them. The video also states that Ruben filed a police report against MisterObvious, although there is no information about whether there was an investigation or allegation against MisterObvious.[6]
Lawsuit by Roblox[]
On November 23, 2021, the Roblox Corporation filed a lawsuit against Ruben, a day later (November 24, 2021) the information was posted on Twitter by the Roblox_RTC account[7] containing a link to a document which stated that ROBLOX was filing a lawsuit for:

As of January 16th, 2022, Ruben has settled the lawsuit with Roblox. In a tweet[8], he says that the case would not go to trial and that he would be allowed to keep his channel and social media accounts.
After Ruben's video about the lawsuit got released, the Roblox_RTC Twitter account made a poll, which was asking people, if will they support the #FreeRubenSim movement[9], most users expressed their thoughts about the movement.
JerseyFurry Allegations[]
On April 28, 2024, Ruben made a video[10], titled "Ranking Every Type of Roblox Player", Ruben got multiple threats in the comments of people trying to doxx or harass Ruben's relatives and family. JerseyFurry on Twitter/X said that the person who's threat comment Ruben showed was not even a furry, Jersey the next day alleged that 7 of Ruben's fans doxxed him and sent him Gore and CP. On August 11, 2024, Ruben made a response video[11], where he said that it was actually Jersey on an Alternate account sending himself those messages and then screenshot them to make it look like it was a random fan of Ruben's, Ruben also claimed that Jersey had a crippling Porn addiction, Jersey did this in an attempt to prove that Ruben's Fanbase is really aggressive towards Furries.[12]
CaptArgo24/RubenSimExpose[]
In April 2024, CaptArgo24 on Twitter/X was Slandering Ruben under the account "RubenSimExpose", which was one of the many RubenSimExpose accounts on Twitter/X. Ruben and Turkey Tom confronted Argo about this, Argo claimed that it wasn't them, but then later admitted the account was theirs.[13] The account would make a final tweet apologizing for everything and announcing the account will no longer be active.[14]
Feud with Gone_fishinq[]
On June 24, 2024, YouTuber Gone_fishinq (a.k.a. Tristan Orth) uploaded a now-deleted video titled "Ruben Sim Derangement Syndrome." In the video, Tristan claimed that many of the studies Ruben referenced in his content were biased or inaccurate. He also stated that Ruben had previously been posting on Kiwi Farms, a platform associated with harassment and doxxing. Tristan specifically referenced a thread with a same name Ruben Sim Derangement Syndrome.[15] Tristan showed a censored version of a drawing that Ruben made when he was 17, which was a drawing of a 13 year old girl's Roblox Avatar being BDSM tortured while naked, Ruben continued harassing the girl with it until he was 20, only stopping when the Roblox Forums were deactivated and he had no way to continue the harrassment campaign.
Later, Tristan uploaded a response video defending his girlfriend OnionBred (a.k.a. Tyler) who was accused of sending Inappropriate Art to minors, claiming that the minors were fully okay with porn being sent, as Tristan claimed that the minors never expressed they were uncomfortable being sent NSFW.[16] [17], and even joked about one of the NSFW images, downplaying it as a "Sans Twerking Gif." However, the actual image was far more explicit.[18] Ruben and Tristan had a Discord call where they agreed to end their feud. The terms were that Ruben would take down all his tweets about Tristan, and Tristan would remove his videos on Ruben Sim.[19] Tristan uploaded one final video on the situation, in which he admitted that what Tyler did was wrong, but still defended her to a degree.[20]
Discord Lawsuit[]
On July 3, 2025, Ruben was about to upload a video titled "I Made Discord Safer, Now They're Threatening To Sue Me" talking about how Discord's suing him, the video was set to release at 3:00 PM EST[21] but it was shortly taken down for unknown reasons.[22] Some who saw the video while it was up noted how it also got copyright claimed. On July 25, 2025, Ruben reuploaded the video.[23]
