History[]
Starburst was created in 1960 by Mars, Incorporated in the United Kingdom in 1960, with the name Opal Fruits. They were originally produced at a factory in Slough, Berkshire, England, United Kingdom, with four flavors, strawberry, lemon, orange, and lime. It was introduced in the United States in 1967, as M&M's Fruit Chewies, and later as Starburst. Initially, Starburst came in the same flavors as Opal Fruits, with the lime flavor getting replaced by cherry in the United States in the early 1980s.[2] In Europe, the lemon and lime flavors were merged to become a lemon-lime flavor to make room for a blackcurrant flavor.[citation needed]
In 2021, all of its products were discontinued in New Zealand, and in 2022, all Starburst products were continued in Australia as well.[3][4]
Channel[]
The channel was created on June 30, 2008, and uploaded its first video on October 9, 2019, titled Starburst Edible Slime.[5]
