Alex "$werve" Shickle (born: 25th January 2008, age 17), better known by his stage name as $WERVE!, is a producer of phonk music, more precisely House Phonk, from Hounslow, London. He is best known for his singles: CITY LIGHT$, BALADINHA SINISTRA, dawning, and others. He is a part of many collectives focusing on phonk. The collectives he works with are, respectively: Deception Records, Badtrip Music, Phonk Division, Arcane Records, Cowbell Cult, Cowbell Youth and Team Dizzy.
History[]
When he was 8 years old, he made lo-fi beats for fun on his phone. 5 years later, he started producing seriously, beginning the $WERVE! project on February 27, 2021, in a discord voice channel in the Cynicamane discord server, being taught the basics of producing by 'SILVAROUNDS'. A month later he released his first song to major streaming platforms which became a viral amongst phonk fans. The following songs were not as successful as the first one, but they did enjoy some recognition despite everything. His musical style resembles house, sometimes aggressive, sometimes more layed back.
Authorship problem[]
As the CITY LIGHT$ song is released, he collaborated with Cowbell Cult at the time, which released the song on all platforms. Some people thought Cowbell Cult was 100% responsible for making it, and he only participated in its creation. He himself confirmed that Cowbell Cult is just a group of artists who publish their songs on every music platform and does not take any part in creating the music like here. He made this song 100% himself. Most understood this, but not all.

- He and Leftoz have a very good relationship and they often work together. Other notable producers he's close with are Playaphonk, Nissan Playa, MC ORSEN, and others.
- He does not like being asked to teach to make music or to listen to the songs of the person who asks him to do so.
- He has big dreams as a music producer.
- A drum kit is priced at £15, but it is discontinued. He is fine with people downloading it for free from reddit or discord.
