Michael[2] (born: August 3, 2003 (2003-08-03) [age 22]),[3][4] better known online as Schlep (formerly Maliboomer), is an American online vigilante and YouTuber who, prior to his controversial ban from the platform, made commentary videos about Roblox. He is best known for his investigative videos about online predators on Roblox, which involves posing as a minor in order to engage with suspected predators, and arrested six predators with help from JiDion and law enforcement, later resulting in one criminal conviction. Michael had previously been groomed on Roblox as a minor and stated that this experience motivated his later investigative work.

In 2025, Roblox Corporation issued a cease-and-desist letter to Michael, citing alleged violations of the platform’s Community Standards.[5] Following the notice, Roblox permanently terminated all accounts associated with Michael, including those created years earlier. In a public response, Michael asserted that most of his evidence gathering occurred via Discord or was shared directly with law enforcement, and criticized Roblox for what he viewed as inadequate safety measures.[6] The decision prompted a social media response, with hashtags such as #FreeSchlep and #BoycottRoblox gaining traction among his supporters as well as famous content creators such as MoistCr1TiKaL,[7] xQc,[8] KreekCraft[9] and Flamingo. Critics of the ban argued that it targeted an independent effort to identify and report potential predators, while supporters of Roblox’s action maintained that such operations should be conducted by trained professionals within established legal frameworks.

History[]

Michael's first Youtube channels are unknown. He had said in his videos that Maliboomer was his "first ever actual channel", implying that he had YouTube channels before Maliboomer.[citation needed]

Maliboomer[]

Michael created the Maliboomer channel on September 21, 2019. Originally the channel was unused, until June 15, 2020, where he uploaded his first ever video, titled "MASSIVE NEW indoor Theme Park in TPT2" showcasing his huge indoor theme park that he built in the popular Roblox game Theme Park Tycoon 2 (abbreviated TPT2), claiming in the description that he's played the game for nearly 4 years. Maliboomer didn't post again until August 10th, where he started a new series building a theme park based off Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. Following the 6th episode, Maliboomer started posting all types of videos about Roblox TPT2, such as showcasing people's parks, building hack videos, money farm tutorials, TPT2 updates and so on. Michael started to upload every other day on Maliboomer.

The Rise[]

Maliboomer hit 100 subscribers in mid-November 2020 and therefore revealed his voice for the first time and started selling 100 subscriber merch on Roblox.[10] He also decided to make a second channel named "Maliboomer Live" at this same time. His channel grew even further, getting to 1,000 subscribers in January 2021, and just a year later in January 2022 Maliboomer had over 20,000 subscribers. Maliboomer also ended up collaborated with a lot of other Roblox TPT2 YouTubers, such as Vitamin Delicious.[11] Eventually he also started selling real merch instead of just Roblox merch.[12]

In March 2022, Michael reveals he wants to branch out and make content on other Roblox games and not just Theme Park Tycoon 2. For that reason, he rebrands his second channel "ThatUnfitBuck" (formerly Maliboomer Live), that previously posted random meme videos; to "MaliSim", a channel where he plays any Roblox game that's non-TPT2-related.[13] This channel switched names a few times until eventually landing to the channel name MaliGames.

By January 2023, Maliboomer had 70,000 subscribers. During 2023, uploads on Maliboomer slowed down, as Michael was getting very concetrated on the Schlep channel. That also carried onto the 2024, but the videos he did post on the channel would still do very well, with Maliboomer's most viewed video being uploaded that year with the title "I Visited a SIX FLAGS Mega Park In Theme Park Tycoon 2! 😊" In 2025 though, Maliboomer barely posted any videos.

On August 9, 2025, Michael had to end the Maliboomer channel, as Roblox had sent him a cease and desist letter for what he had been doing on Schlep, telling him that he can no longer access to Roblox platform or else he would get sued, which means he is also not able to make any videos about Theme Park Tycoon 2 anymore. He ended off the channel with a video named "The End of Maliboomer."

Commentary[]

Michael created the Schlep YouTube channel on November 10, 2021, and started uploading videos on January 7, 2023. His first video uploaded to the channel was titled "welcome to schlep", a now privated video, where he explains that he would post Roblox news/commentary content on the channel. His first roblox news vdeo was uploaded the same day with the title "Roblox Ruined RB Battles...". Schlep quickly gained popularity after posting about incidents like Alexnewtron, and reporting on news other YouTubers were missing. He was also uploading videos mostly twice a day. By February 1st, Schlep already had 17.1K subscribers. He continued the same type of content with the same upload schedule, and quickly grew to 50,000 subscribers by April.[14] On June 2, 2023, Schlep would tweet a photo of famous Roblox YouTuber Denis' mugshot, Schlep stated, "denis daily just got arrested… 2023 could not get any worse". This photo quickly gained attraction across the internet.

During the second half of 2023, Schlep would very slowly transition from roblox commentary/news videos to videos where he explores Roblox games and documentary style-videos about anything related to Roblox. In September 2023, he was one of the main figures in the Boycott of the huge ROBLOX Game Studio named BIG Games, and created the hashtag #BoycottBIGGames, which on Twitter/X got number 4 on trending in the US.[15]

To Catch a Robloxian[]

On December 2, 2023, Schlep and greenlegocats123 released their first ever video for their new series To Catch a Robloxian, where they troll and expose Roblox predators.[16] The first video in this series was uploaded on the Schlep channel and was titled "I Caught Roblox's Most DANGEROUS Predator...", and it marked a new turning point in Schlep's channel, as the channel slowly went from documentary videos about anything Roblox-related to Roblox predator trolling videos and Roblox predator documentary videos.

On January 7, 2024, Schlep announced his new second channel "Schlepington", a Roblox news/commentary channel, simular to what his main channel used to be, made as his main channel starts to focus less and less on regular Roblox commentary content. This channel was actually previously the second channel for his Maliboomer channel, being named MaliGames, it was then delisted from the Maliboomer channel page and rebranded as "pelhcs" (Schlep backwards) in 2023 (implying he has been trying to turn it into a second channel for Schlep for a while now), to Schlepington in 2024. This explains why the channel already had 1.7K subscribers before it ever got announced, and why it was losing subscribers through almost the entirety of 2023.[17]

Roblox Predator Arrests[]

On September 27, 2024, Michael released a Schlep To Catch a Robloxian video, revealing he and a team of many other people, including Alex Rosen, had run a sting operation that arrested a Roblox predator, with the title "We Got A Roblox Predator Arrested". Following this video, the videos on the Schlep channel would consist of purely Roblox predator catching videos with JiDion, Ruben Sim and others, with his last predator catching video being released on July 24, 2025, bringing his total arrest count to 6 as of August 16, 2025. He later announced that one of the arrested predators had been convicted after pleading: guilty.

On August 8, 2025, Roblox Corporation issued a cease-and-desist letter to Schlep, citing alleged violations of the platform’s Community Standards. According to Roblox, Schlep’s content—which involved posing as a minor in order to engage with suspected predators—constituted “simulated child endangerment conversations,” the “sharing or soliciting of personally identifiable information,” and the facilitation of off-platform communication.[5]

Following the notice, Roblox permanently terminated all accounts associated with Schlep, including those created years earlier. In a public response, Schlep described being groomed on Roblox as a minor, which he linked to a suicide attempt, and stated that these experiences motivated his later investigative work. He asserted that most of his evidence gathering occurred via Discord or was shared directly with law enforcement, and criticized Roblox for what he viewed as inadequate safety measures.[6]

You never made a line with me, and in MULTIPLE INSTANCES you ONLY ban ARRESTED predators after I release a massive video on it. The whole roblox community sees how flawed this argument is, it’s because EVERYONE has seen anecdotally THAT REPORTS VERY RARELY WORK….. if your stance on safety is really true WHY ARE THERE BATHROOM SHOWER GAMES FOR CHILDREN. EVEN THE JOURNALIST SAW THAT!"[sic] ”

On August 13, 2025 Democrat Congressman Ro Khanna made a TikTok stating that Roblox is not a safe place and asked people to sign a petition so Roblox could see it. His petition was promoted by Kreekcraft, one of Schlep's most outspoken supporters amid the drama.[18][19] On that same day Roblox issued another response to the drama where they say that people like Schlep are "Similar to actual predators" on Roblox, which received massive backlash.[20]

On August 14, 2025 Roblox started warning players for having the username or display name #FREESCHLEP, with a shirt created by Kreekcraft being removed.[21] Kreekcraft would later leave the Roblox star program due to the drama, having been the first Roblox YouTuber to join it. As a result of the drama, Roblox began removing numerous controversial items, taking down games with inappropriate content, and forcing MeepCity creator Alexnewtron to remove the custom bio and avatar feature in his game which had been frequently abused for inappropriate conduct, resulting in a significant downfall of players.[22]

Chris Hansen began an active investigation into Roblox following multiple cases of child exploitation on the platform, having interviewed law enforcement experts and victims, including working with Schlep.[23] Coincidentally, Schlep had used a model of Hansen's face on Roblox in several videos where he interrogated predators, referencing Hansen's series To Catch a Predator, like Schlep naming his predator catching series To Catch a Robloxian.[16]

On September 1, 2025, Law by Mike said he will be joining Schlep's legal team in the Roblox case.[24] On September 11, 2025, Roblox stated they "reached out to Schlep over two weeks ago to discuss a path to work together" and "continue to be open to good faith discussions."[25] Schlep stated that he believed Roblox reaching out to him now to be a PR stunt, stating "If they want a genuine dialogue, they must first act in good faith and acknowledge the victims of their platform."[26]
