Darren Ugochukwu Ofodirinwa (born: June 25, 1991 (1991-06-25) [age 28]), better known online as Scru Face Jean (formerly Scru Reactions), is a Nigerian-American hip hop artist, musician and YouTuber, who mostly does reaction videos, including rants.

YouTube Career

Darrel launched his channel on August 23, 2016. He started off by doing reaction videos to rappers such as YBN Nahmir, Tee Grizzley and Kodak Black. He later moved on to more mainstream artists, including the likes of Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly and Token. His most popular video is a diss track to fellow YouTuber Dax, who also makes music, mainly focused on hip hop.

Personal Life

Born in Nigeria, Darrel Face Jean moved to Lincoln, Nebraska as a child and has been rapping since then. Scru and his older brother, Derek, would rap together, and Derek began performing regularly. He eventually gave it up, but Darrel picked up where his big brother left off.

Music Career

Darrel has yet to put out an album, opting instead to release a series of mixtapes. Always writing, always recording, he has built up a big archive of material, including his latest EP which is entitled “The Slim Shady EP” (a project in which Darrel flips several notable Eminem songs and puts his own spin on them). He has also made a collab album with fellow YouTuber Crypt, and, more recently, has featured on Tech N9ne's Enterfear, Level 2 EP, on the track "Phonk (Leave It On The Flo, Pt. 2)".

Controversy

Darrel has had beef with both Ryan Upchurch and Dax, both rappers who have been involved in the YouTube scene.
