Seamus Gorman (born February 2, 1998 [age 24]) is an English YouTube personality who is known for his channel of the same name. He has garnered popularity there for his pop culture theory discussions, movie reviews, and comedy videos related to popular media.

History[]

He was born and raised in London, England. He has mentioned he has a younger sister, who he did one Q & A video with in 2016. He created his channel on August 26, 2015. He began dating a girl named Abigail Buckley in 2017. As of May 2021, he is single.[1] In October 2021, he moved in with Vegard, a fellow youtuber, and they collaborate in almost every video.

Content[]

Gorman uploaded his first video on August 29, 2015. His videos started out as a semi-random collection of Q&A's, parodies, challenges, vlogs, and skits. It wasn't until August 4, 2016, almost a year after his first upload, when he uploaded his first Pixar theory titled "Pixar Theory: Who are Boo's Parents?" which now has over 2 million views. He then went on to make videos on Harry Potter, Disney, and Pixar theories as well as rants about those to fanbases. In 2020, he started creating a series of videos called "Reacting To The Disney Sequels", or "The Disney Sequels Show", where he reacts to and reviews the direct-to-video sequels made by Disney. He has recently began reacting to/reviewing Disney Channel original movies (DCOMs) with his friend and frequent collaborator Vegard.

Theories[]

Gorman has made various theory videos on Pixar (especially The Pixar Theory), Disney, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Marvel. His most viewed video "Pixar Theory: Does Boo Go To Riley's School?" has over two million views.[2] He consistently made theory videos from 2016 to 2018. In 2019 he started making theories less frequently, due to the lack of new content to base Pixar theories on,[3] and his channel became more focused on reviews, although he still uploads the occasional theory video.

Debunking Theories and Theory Criticism[]

Gorman has made various debunking videos on pop culture theories that have gained traction, but in his opinion don't make sense. This includes Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series being a time-travelling Ron Weasley, and Boo from Monsters Inc. being Andy from Toy Story's mother. He has also made videos titled "Reacting to the WORST [media franchise] theories" where he reacts to and discusses other's theories. In his video titled "I Got 300k+ Likes On TikTok By Posting Bad Disney Theories For A Week", he parodies the often outlandish nature of theories that get popular on TikTok.[4]

Reviews[]

Gorman also reviews other movies and tv shows on his channel, mainly from Pixar, Disney, and Marvel. He has also reviewed movies from other franchises, such as Barbie, Percy Jackson, and Harry Potter.

Tier Lists[]

He also has videos where he ranks media from a specific franchise in a tier list format.

Reacting To The Disney Sequels[]

Gorman has created a series, reffered to as "The Disney Sequels Show" and "The Greatest Series on YouTube", in which he reacts to and reviews direct-to-video Disney sequels. After finishing reviewing each sequel, he ranks them on a tier list and on a 1-10 scale. These videos contain a running joke that he is "the world's leading expert on the Disney sequels", and recurring segments such as "guess what happens in this predictable Disney sequel" and 'Disney Sequel fakeout death', which point out the often lackluster writing of said sequels. The series begun on April 1st, 2020 and ended on December 26th, 2021.

Why does EVERYONE think...[]

Gorman previously had a series on his channel addressing common misconceptions about various media, mainly Pixar, Disney, and Harry Potter, such as many people believing the characters Woody and Jessie from the Toy Story franchise are a couple, and that every animated film is made by Disney. The last video in this series was uploaded in April 2018.

Improving That Title[]

Gorman previously had a series on his channel where his subscribers and twitter followers would send in humourous suggestions on how to improve the titles of various films, such as Disney, Harry Potter, and Marvel movies. The last video in this series was uploaded in October 2019.

Q&A[]

This is a series where Gorman answers questions viewers of his channel have sent in. He takes the questions either from other social media platforms, such as Twitter or Snapchat, or the comments section of one of his videos.
