Sebastian Bach (born: April 3, 1968Skid Row.
) is a Canadian singer well known as the former lead singer ofEarly life[]
Born in the Bahamas and raised in Ontario, Bach has 7 siblings. His father, David Bierk died in 2002 and was a painter, including for 1 of Skid Row's album covers. Bach gained his singing talent partially from his joy listening to his mother and aunt. He also joined a church choir at age 8 and this is also part of what led Bach to become a singer.
Skid Row had him replace original lead vocalist, Matt Fallon in 1986 and Bach became frontman in early 1987. The band recorded their first self titled album in 1988 and released said album in 1989. They recorded their 2nd album, Slave to the grind in 1990 and released the album in 1991. The band achieved huge success in the late 80s and early 90s largely due to Bach. However, he seemed hellbent on leading the band to disaster via wearing homophobic t-shirts, reading a letter to near 80000 people that risked landing the men in jail and getting banned from the London borough for life and injuring a child which led to her receiving over 120 stitches etc.
He was fired from the band in 1996 during an offer to support KISS which Bach had booked and bassist Rachel Bolan was wishing to do the opposite, leading to an argument with his soon to be former bandmates and leaving a vile message on lead guitarist Dave Sabo's answering machine. Bach was eventually replaced with late singer Johnny Solinger and became a solo artist eventually. He has also had roles in TV shows and films such as Gilmore Girls and Final Rinse, near all of which, are post Skid Row. His current replacement in Skid Row is Erik Grònwall.
