Shion Murasaki (紫咲シオン) was a Japanese VTuber associated with Hololive, as part of its second generation of VTubers alongside Aqua Minato, Nakiri Ayame, Choco Yuzuki, and Oozora Subaru.

Content

Shion debuted on August 17. Her first gaming stream was of Minecraft along with Nakiri Ayame, and her next video was a chatting stream which also involved Fubuki and Matsuri. She has also streamed Minecraft and Tetris, and does ASMR. She is known across fan circles as a smug, cheeky brat ("kusogaki") who speaks bluntly without the usual politeness/consideration associated with the Japanese language.

Shion is known for her shameless flirting with fellow Hololive members, and has a friendly rivalry with Minato Aqua, which usually involves the two pranking each other. Despite this "rivalry", the two often appear in each others streams. Shion insists that she is an dult and wants to be treated as one despite her childlike behavior. She is also good friends with Matsuri, and one of her most iconic cries is her guttural scream of "NEEEEEEE" after Matsuri let her know that her viewers could hear her streams. She is also known for greeting her viewers with "Hellshio". She once slept through a stream that was supposed to start at 2PM, and didn't wake up despite Matsuri's frantic efforts to alert her that she was being recorded. However she eventually woke up and issued an apology.

She has streamed the games Among Us, Ume Masume Pretty Derby, Super Mario Bros. 35, Minecraft, Tetris, Splatoon 2, Mario Party 2 and Tetris.

Also a singer, Shion is part of groups with other horror-themed Hololive VTubers such as Rushia. Together, they released the song "Halloween Night". Her other song covers involve Suki Karai, Mrs Pumpkin, Onegai muscle, Crazy ∞ nighT, Hakujitsu, Ochame Kinou and KING. Her cover of KING is her most viewed video, and on August 17, 2021, as part of her 3rd anniversary, Shion debuted her first solo original song Mage of Violet.

Collaborations

Usually Shion and Aqua have rivalries in any game they play.

Shion "married" Gura in Minecraft in October 2021.

Partnerships

She has appeared in multiple games, such as her attendance in Hololive's collaboration with Azur Lane as one of the characters, alongside Fubuki, Nakiri Ayame, Mio, Matsuri, Aqua and Sora, and she was available as a playable character from November 27 to December 17. She also appeared in the game Rakugaki kingdom alongside Marine and Fubuki.

Marine, Shion and Mio were part of the Hololive x Family Mart partnership.

On August 7, 2022, Goodsmile announced that she would be getting her own scale figure.
