Sonny John Moore (born: January 15, 1988),[1] better known professionally as Skrillex, is an American musician best known for popularizing the genre dubstep. Aside from dubstep, he also worked in the genres EDM, brostep, electro house, trap, moombahton, and post hardcore. Since he began his career in 2004, he's released a total of four studio albums, being Recess (2014), Quest For Fire (2023), Don't Get Too Close (2023), and F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3 (2025), and seven extended plays, including Gypsyhook, (2009), My Name is Skrillex, (2010), Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, (2010), More Monsters and Sprites, (2011), Bangarang, (2011), Leaving, (2013), and Show Tracks, (2019).
