Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc, known simply as Sony Pictures and abbreviated as SPE (formerly known as Sony Computer Entertainment America), is a Japanese-American entertainment company that produces, acquires and distributes filmed entertainment (theatrical motion pictures, television programs, recorded videos, and video games) through multiple platforms. They're currently based in Culver City, California, was founded on December 21, 1987, and since then has become one of the most popular, well known, and financially successful video game, film, and television producer.
