Sebastian Holdum, better known online as Spaghetti Road, is a Danish YouTuber that covers geo-poltics in videos that range in length. Most of the videos have an animated portion such as having different people with chest area of the flag to show different nationalities.

Beginnings[]

Spaghetti Road started his channel uploading animations about various geopolitical topics. He was moderately successful from these videos, now having all of them have over a 100,000 views.[1] The animations inspired his profile picture and merchandise.

The flag series[]

He blew up on YouTube after a creating a video in which he tries to collect every flag in the world without spending money. He did this by writing a Python script that emailed various consulates asking for flags. He continued these videos and his fans started mailing in their local flags to him. He has five videos in this series.

His flag series gave people the same idea, and embassies were filled with requests for free flags, which was indirectly caused by him. Sebastian later made a video addressing this issue.[2]

Top 10 Country Quiz[]

On May 27, 2021, Sebastian hosted a quiz show with Drew Durnil, J.J. McCullough, Mr. Beat, and KhAnubis.

Road trip series[]

Sebastian made a series where he traveled from Denmark to China with his friends. Their way of travel was with an old, beaten-down car. Even though the car broke down a couple times and they had issues getting visas at the beginning of this series, they managed to successfully travel to China.

Sebastian later replicated the same idea except that fans can vote where he is going via a YouTube community poll. He live streamed the car's movements and made a video every single day telling his audience the events of the day.

On June 24, he had been in Denmark, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Italy, San Marino, France and Switzerland. His viewers voted him south to get him to Monaco, but he stopped the roadtrip after 11 days of driving across 11 countries (excluding Denmark) and has returned to his home country.

Trivia[]

  • He had German citizenship without even speaking the language.[3]
  • He has a girlfriend who is sometimes mistaken for Greta Thunberg.
