Israel is the official YouTube channel for the state of Israel, run by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.[1]

History

On May 15, 1948, Israel declared independence from Britain.[2] On that same day, Harry S. Truman recognized the nation, becoming the first to do so.[3]

On June 5, 1967, as the UNEF was in the process of leaving the zone, Israel begun a series of airstrikes against Egyptian airfields and numerous other facilities, launching its war effort.[4]

On March 26, 1979, the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty was signed in Washington D.C., with Jimmy Carter witnessing the moment.[5]

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian group, Hamas, declared war on Israel.[6][7] This resulted in over 1,000 people being killed and/or abducted by Hamas.[8]

Channel

The channel was created on October 9, 2005, and began uploading on October 3, 2010.[9] On October 7, 2023, the channel started making updates about the Israeli-Hamas war, explaining it with artificial intelliegence.[10]

On the channel, they usually upload educational videos talking about the culture of Israel.[11] The channel also uploads vlog-related videos.[12]
