Subaru Oozora (大空スバル) (born: July 2, 2004) is a Japanese VTuber associated with Hololive, as part of its second generation of VTubers alongside Aqua Minato, Shion Murasaki, Nakiri Ayame, and Choco Yuzuki.
Content[]
Subaru debuted on September 16, 2019, but unfortunately, her debut video has been taken down or deleted. In fact, all her videos, pre-2020, have been deleted, and the earliest video that can be found on her channel is her channel trailer, which is an MMD of her singing. The earliest gaming streams on her channel are of Undertale, ARK, Tetris and Animal Crossing. She has also played Final Fantasy VII, Police Simulator, Call of Duty, Garctic Phone, Dragon Quest VIII, IDOLY PRIDE, Ao Oni, Resident Evil, The Henry Stickmin Collection, Devil May Cry, Ume Masume Pretty Derby, Molly Online Crane Game, Monster Hunter Rise, Rocketman, Granblue Fantasy, Project Zero, The Legend of Zelda, Fall Guys, House on the Hill, Infliction, Dark Deception, Fall Guys, Pikmin 3, Half Life 2, Assassin's Creed:Black Flag, NieR:Automata, Mad Father, Slither.io and Tetris.
Oozora would also make ASMRs, host several chatting streams and release music covers of songs such as Do My Best and Koi No Mahou.
Collaborations[]
An avid player of Minecraft, like Usada Pekora and Minato Aqua, she has her own building company in the Minecraft server, named Oozora Kensetsu. Oozora Kensetsu is infamous for its huge sculpture of a duck, named "Shubangelion".
Even though her first collaboration project was with Towa Tokoyami, she would often invite Maimoto Keisuke from Nijisanji on to her streams, which many fans view as the starting point of the long rivalry between the two VTuber companies.
Subaru and Luna are also good friends and appear in each other's streams.
Design[]
Her character designer is fellow VTuber Shigure Ui, however her modelers were tou_ilie and Yatsurugi.[1][2]

- Subaru and her duck became the subject of a meme on r/memes.[3]
- A semi-common running joke since early 2021 is that Subaru is a police officer who crack down other hololive members' un-idol like acts; it originates from a stream on March 2021 that is similar to the traditional "court" streams prevalent in the VTuber community, but with a interrogation theme; another stream was then held on July 2021.

Partnerships[]
She herself has appeared in the game Dawn of the Breakers, as she made an appearance (as Subaru Duck) in it alongside Natsuiro Matsuri, Shirakami Fubuki, Minato Aqua, Yuzuki Choco, and Ookami Mio. However her real body eventually shows up months after her initial appearance.[4]
This was not her only collaboration, as she also appeared in Hololive's collaboration with Curry Meshi Week with Aqua and Pekora.
The Kyocera Dome Osaka stadium, on 13 August 2021, scheduled a collaboration between 12 Hololive idols including Subaru, who were to represent the SoftBank HAWKS and collaborate with six professional Japanese baseball teams from the Pacific League, two hololive members per team. They dubbed this day "Hololive day" and released exclusive merchandise to commemorate it.[5]
On November 28, 2022, Smile Base Cafe announced a collaboration with Gura, Ina'nis, Marine, Aqua, Botan, Suisei, Mio, Pekora, Watame, Sora, Mel and Subaru.[6]

- She is skilled at making Donald Duck impressions.
- She is a tomboy.
- She likes sports and wrestling, and invented an original wrestling move called the "Oozora Subaru style neck & back breaker". A real pro wrestler, Great-Oh-Khan, has adopted this move and incorporated it into his fights.
- She once trolled her audience by saying she would debut her 3D model...only to debut a duck with her baseball cap on it.
