Brandon Scott[citation needed] (born: September 11, 1996)[citation needed], known professionally as Swarmz, is a British[citation needed] rapper, singer and former semi-professional footballer from Eltham, London.[citation needed]
Early Life[]
Scott was born in the borough of Greenwich, London. He is of Jamaican and Bajan descent.[1] During his childhood, Scott was heavily inspired by the music his family was listening to, including a variety of Jamaican artists. By the time he was attending school, he and his friends had started rapping.[2]
Football career[]
Swarmz is a lifelong Arsenal supporter.[3] During his teenage years, Scott was a talented footballer and played for the youth academies of Fulham, Charlton Athletic and Southend United. While at Southend, he had a short loan spell at National League South club East Thurrock United.[4] He was then released by Southend in 2016. After being released, Swarmz signed for Isthmian League side Cray Wanderers. In 2017, Swarmz signed for National League South club Whitehawk. In 2018, he quit football to pursue his music career even further.[5]
Music career[]
Swarmz started making music as a hobby alongside his youth football career. He originally started making freestyles on SoundCloud, where he went by the name Swarmzy-B, which he later shortened to Swarmz when he started making music professionally. He released his first video, titled "Money" in 2017 which picked up over 200k views on YouTube. He then released another single, titled "Murda" in early 2018. His breakthrough single, "Lyca", was released later that year. After the single went viral, he was signed to Virgin Records. The artist then proceeded to become a well-known name after releasing tracks such as Bally and Motorola which were brought to light after encouragement from friend Red Jackson.[citation needed]
In 2020, Swarmz featured alongside Tion Wayne in KSI's single "Houdini", which reached number 6 in the UK Singles Chart.[6]
YouTube career[]
In August 2022, Swarmz posted his first vlog titled "Reaction on my fight against KSI & reaction to KSI Vs PINEDA!!"[7] where he reacted to his fight with KSI. In September 2022, Swarmz uploaded a video where he goes through potential opponent for this next fight naming YouTubers Joe Weller, Alex Wassabi, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy and Austin McBroom.[8]
Boxing career[]
Swarmz vs. KSI[]
Swarmz started his boxing career in a professional crossover bout against KSI on 27 August 2022 at the O2 Arena, London, England.[9] Originally, KSI was scheduled to face Alex Wassabi, however, due to a concussion, Wassabi was replaced by Swarmz whom had previously called out KSI on a TikTok live. On 15 August, Swarmz released a diss track to promote the bout directly at KSI titled "KSI Diss Track."[10] Swarmz was defeated by KSI via 2nd round KO and won the ICB World cruiserweight title.[11]
Cancelled Kristen Hanby fight[]
On 9 September, Swarmz released a disstrack against several YouTubers such as Kristen Hanby, Austin McBroom, Joe Weller and Bryce Hall named "TKO".[12] On 10 September, Hanby released his own diss track against Swarmz called "Swarmzy B".[13] On 16 September, Swarmz released his second diss track on Hanby called "Everybody Hates Kris" responding to "Swarmzy B".[14] Swarmz was scheduled to face Hanby as the co-feature bout to Misfits x DAZN X Series 002: Jay Swingler vs. Cherdleys on 15 October 2022, but pulled out of the fight on 28 September as Swarmz requires "more time to prepare."[15]
Swarmz vs. Ryan Taylor[]

On 5 December 2022, it was announced that Swarmz would be facing British BMX YouTuber Ryan Taylor on 14 January 2023 at the Wembley Arena in London, England as the fourth event under Misfits Promotion since its inception.[16] On 6 January 2023, Swarmz released "Redemption", a diss track aimed at Taylor ahead of their bout on 14 January.[17] On the night of the event, Swarmz won the fight by technical knockout in under a minute, after Taylor suffered an eye injury. Swarmz then proceeded to call out Deji and King Kenny.[18]
On 10 February, it was announced that Swarmz had signed a multi-fight deal with Misfits Boxing.[19]
Swarmz vs. Deji[]

On 18 January, 2023, Swarmz announced on Twitter that he has some boxing news come soon.[20] Late that day, Swarmz announced he's making a diss track on Deji titled “One Punch" releasing late in the month.[21] On 25 January, Swarmz released a diss track aimed at Deji ahead of their bout on 13 May..[22] On 10 March, KSI reveals that Swarmz vs. Deji is close to finalizing a deal to fight on MF & DAZN: X Series 007 in London.[23] On 13 April, it was announced that Swarmz is scheduled to fight British YouTuber Deji on 13 May 2023 as the co-main event fight on the card of MF & DAZN: X Series 007: KSI vs. Joe Fournier.[24] On 9 May, Swarmz released another diss track on titled "Execution", where he proceeded to call out KSI for the rematch if he defeats Deji.[25] On the fight of the night, Swarmz was defeated by Deji via unanimous decision.[26] Mexican professional boxer Luis Alcaraz Pineda then entered the ring and called out Swarmz to a bout.[27]
Swarmz vs. NichLmao vs. BDave vs. Ryan Johnston[]

On 14 June, it was announced that Swarmz will complete in the first ever survivor tag bout against Singaporean YouTuber NichLmao, American YouTuber BDave and Canadian YouTuber Ryan Johnston as the headliner for MF & DAZN: X Series 008 on 22 July at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, US.[28] Swarmz and Johnston start the fight, with Swarmz landing a quick straight hand. Swarmz tags NichLmao and Johnston tags BDave and these two are immediately getting to it, before BDave tags Johnston. NichLmao tags Swarmz back in and he's letting his hands go. The round ends with Swarmz and NichLmao in the ring. The judges tabulate their scorecards and the winner with 117 points is NichLmao.[29]
Swarmz vs. Ed Matthews[]

On September 23, 2023 during the MF & DAZN: X Series 009 broadcast, it was announced that Swarmz will rematch English YouTuber Ryan Taylor on the preliminary card of the MF & DAZN: X Series 10 – The Prime Card at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England on October 14, 2023.[30] However, on October 11, Taylor was reportedly arrested for unknown reasons, and was forced to pull out of the fight, leaving their bout cancelled, or leaving a possible last-minute replacement to be decided for Swarmz before fight night.[31]
On October 12, it was announced that British TikToker Ed Matthews would step in as the replacement.[32] On the night of the fight, Swarmz was defeated by Matthews via 1st round knockout, just thirty seconds into the round with Swarmz apply suffered an ankle injury as he went down and made no attempt to beat the count.[33]
Swarmz vs. Luis Alcaraz Pineda[]
After Swarmz had his bout with Deji at X Series 007, Mexican professional boxer Luis Alcaraz Pineda called out Swarmz to a bout in the ring.[34] On November 21, 2024, it was announced that Swarmz will be returning to the ring against Pineda on the Misfits Kick-Offs on November 28 at the Lusail Sports Arena in Doha, Qatar.[35] On the night of the fight, Swarmz was defeated by Pineda via unanimous decision.[36]

Personal Life[]
On 24 May 2020, Scott was involved in a car crash near London's Trafalgar Square. A Ferrari 488 rented for a music video shoot crashed into a London bus on Northumberland Avenue. After the crash, he posted videos of the smashed car onto his Instagram account. No injuries were sustained and no arrests were made.[citation needed]
