Adam Holley (born: January 18, 1988 (1988-01-18)), better known online as Swimming Bird (previously named SwimmingBird941), is an American gaming YouTuber. He is mostly known for Minecraft videos, although he does play Nintendo and various other games. Through his channel's development, he had help getting fame from ZackScottGames, and by being a big part of the now discontinued Scottland Minecraft Server (2011-2013). In 2013, Holley had changed to make his channel more family-friendly, as he has stopped swearing and making overly-inappropriate jokes.

History

Although he joined in early 2006, he did not upload his first video until 5 years later, when Bat Scott was uploaded in August 2011. He became good friends with theheartben, whom he met on the Scottland Minecraft Server. His first video with TheHeartBen was Monaco With Zack, Mac, and Ben. He did several other YouTube projects with Ben, such as role-playing Finn & Jake from the TV animated show Adventure Time while playing Minecraft adventure maps. The first of these videos is the most viewed video on his channel, with 8.5 million views and counting. The first video Adam appeared in on his channel was showing off a Minecraft build of a Japanese Pagoda. His previous 2 videos were just Zack Scott Minecraft Edits which he didn't appear in. He will sometimes feature his girlfriend Danielle in videos, and sometimes full series. He is a friend of evilmacaroon (crazymacattack) who was one of the regular members of the Scottland Minecraft Server. She introduced him to Zack Scott after the 2 had been interacting on twitter, and eventually he started playing Minecraft and joined the server, debuting in Episode 292. Along with his many hit Minecraft series', Holley has had some other popular series including Super Mario 3D World, Cuphead, Card Wars: Adventure Time, Super Mario Odyssey, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Like said earlier, joining this server helped his channel to become much more known. Holley took a 7 month break between April and November of 2018, and a 2nd one, from August 2019 through February 2021. In 2021 he returned from his hiatus with the beginning of his Animal Crossing: New Horizons playthrough. The channel was idle again from May 2021 until February 2022 when he started his Pokémon Legends: Arceus playthrough.

Post-Legends Arceus

After his Pokémon Legends: Arceus playthrough had ended, he started a playthrough of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. After episode 6 was uploaded on April 24th, Adam's channel went idle again. This idle status would not last as long, though, as on August 27th, Adam would return by streaming Pikmin 2. After that stream, he would stream the Splat Fest world premier, and would go on to post Splatoon 3 once it came out. He is still streaming Splatoon 3 as of today. It was his only game streamed up until Pokémon Scarlet and Violet released, which he is playing with his girlfriend, Danielle. He has completed Pokémon SV, and he has also completed other stream series like Cadence of Hyrule. Soon after, he started a challenge run of Breath of the Wild called the Ghibli challenge. The Ghibli Challenge was a Master Mode run where you can't eat mid-fight, you travel with companions, Wolf Link and Epona, and cannot teleport. On May 10th, he finished BotW: The Ghibli Challenge, which completes one of his older Lets plays of Breath of the Wild, which he never completed. He is currently playing The Legend Of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom in two separate series, one is his playthrough and the other is his girlfriend, Dani's.

• He currently resides in Buffalo, New York but used to live down near Waldorf, Maryland.
• For a whole week, Aug. 31-Sep. 6 2014, Adam did a Revival Week, where he brought back a few series he didn't get the time to finish. This included Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pokémon XY, and Dark Souls.
• He has been with his girlfriend Danielle (Dani) for 14 years as of January of 2022.
