TESLA is an American rock band made up of lead vocalist Jeff Keith, guitarist Frank Hannon, bassist Brain Wheat and drummer Steve Brown.[1][2] They are best known for their songs Signs (a cover song) and The Love song. The band has sold 14 million albums in toltal.[3]

History[]

The band was formed in 1981 and originally named City Kidd, but in 1984 the name was changed to Tesla. The band would release their first album in 1986 called Mechanical Resonance[4], the album would have the song Modern Day Cowboy on it.

Tesla would release their second album in 1989 titled The Great Radio Controversy[5], the album had the power ballad the Love Song on it. The album reached number 10 on the billboard.[6] Tesla would release their third album Psychotic Supper in 1991.[7]

The band would release their fourth album in 1994.

In 1996 Tesla broke up but started touring again in 2001.[8] The band would release their fifth album after 10 years in 2004 titled Into the Now, the band would release several more albums including Real to Reel, Real to Rell Vol 2, A Peace of Time, Forever More, Simplicity and Shock.[9]

In 2021 Tesla's drummer Troy Luccketa left and was replaced by drummer Steve Brown.
