Planting 20,000,000 Trees, My Biggest Project Ever!
TeamTrees.org (also Team Trees) is a widespread fundraiser created by Mark Rober and MrBeast, partnered with Arbor Day Foundation. The fundraiser is used to attempt planting 20 million trees before January 1, 2020, to help save the environment after multiple forest fires, and the Amazon Rainforest fire that took place in 2019. The goal was reached on December 19, 2019, but still allowed to keep increasing the numbers.[1]

In October 2021, MrBeast created a project named TeamSeas, which is planning to clean the trash-filled beaches by 2022. It is considered a successor to Team Trees.
History[]
It all started when MrBeast made a tweet on May 22, asking his fans how he could celebrate his 20 millionth subscriber with (he was planning to give 20 million pennies but he procrastinates and it's too late to get them in time).[2] The Redditors at r/PewdiepieSubmissions requested MrBeast to plant 20 million trees.[3] Someone on Twitter requested that MrBeast should collab with Mark Rober or someone else.[4]
Months later, a tweet by MrBeast on October 13 appeared, stating that there will be a really huge collaboration on October 25.[5] When MrBeast released his video attempting to plant 20 million trees, he was only able to plant 1,700 in the video, and then asked his fans to donate so the goal can later be reached.
Donators[]
Elon Musk donated US$1 million to plant 1 million trees and has also changed his Twitter name to 'Treelon' and a picture of trees in the background.[6]
Susan Wojcicki, CEO of YouTube, donated US$200,000 to plant 200,000 trees and has also made her own fundraiser video with Mark Rober to help out.[7][8]
