Shelby Jueden, also known as Tech Tangents, is an American YouTuber and Twitch Streamer who specializes in vintage and retro computers.
Overview[]
Since first joining, Shelby, formerly known as "AkBKukU", has specialized in technology both old and new. Other topics include software development and some electronics design. But before posting clips about any tech related products, Shelby has been seen playing Revolt: Stun Arena as its first two videos uploaded on YouTube. Shelby's next video did not come by until six years later, which showed a clip of a Tiva Module assembly. Since then, Shelby began posting clips of other new and old types of tech products.
Shelby gained a higher reputation after posting a video of building a Windows 98 20th anniversary vintage PC on June 24, 2018. Viewers were surprised to see about the video, but felt that older parts could not be refined compared to the original case alone. Many sought that Shelby should use much newer and modern parts to refresh old PC cases. Other notable breakthroughs featured showing a 2011 Sony 3D display, a limited edition LCD TV, along with a Windows XP 20th anniversary build.
Shelby often streams to his Twitch channel which may give hints to his upcoming videos as well as allowing his audience to interact with him and help him in real time. There, it becomes known that Shelby does not use Windows in modern day equipment, but takes pride in using Linux exclusively. Shelby often writes his own code if necessary and posts to his Github if it is beneficial to the community.
