James Raiz,[2] better known as TheBoxOfficeArtist, is a Canadian[1] YouTuber and popular culture artist.
History[]
First Channel[]
Raiz created his first channel on October 12, 2006,[3] and uploaded his first video on April 30, 2007. It was a film he created for college.[4] His next video was a showreel.[5] In 2016, he started posting vlogs on his channel.[6][7][8]
Second Channel[]
On April 28, 2013, Raiz created a new channel.[2] His first videos on the channel were speed drawings.[9][10][11] His channel started growing in popularity, with it eventually reaching 1 million subscribers in 2019.[12] Raiz uploaded his most popular video in 2018; it gained over 20 million views in over a year.[12] In 2025, he started a podcast titled "The BoxOfficeArtist Podcast."[13]

He makes a wide variety of videos of him attempting to re-draw and replicate fictional characters from video games, movies, and comic books.[14]
