James Beavers (born: November 19, 1991), better known online as TheGamingBeaver, is an English gaming YouTuber who mainly makes videos about dinosaur video games such as Jurassic World: The Game, The Isle, and Jurassic World Evolution.
History[]
James Beaver's first YouTube account was called t091 . Made in April 29, 2006, this channel contains various stop motion LEGO and South Park animations and a few miscellaneous videos a 14 year old James made with on his camera. The channel also had a series of horror themed "Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis" movies titled "The Dead Lands". These were inspired by a YouTuber called dvrex. It was made by mixing various recorded clips about a group of survivors getting stranded on an island filled with zombie dinosaurs. On January 10, 2007, James uploaded his last video on the t091 channel. He also created a second account - TheDeadLand, on the same day. All of the Dead Land videos were moved to the new channel. James also made a few Age of Empire movies as well. On the channel, James posted his first ever animation on the internet on September 4, 2007. After March 23, 2008, the channel went on a hiatus. On February 8, 2011, James created his third channel JamesBeavers91 (Later rebranded as Beaver .Media) for posting his animations. During this time James started attending Northumbria University on Animations. Although the animations made for university were posted on his Vimeo account, James also started making his own personal projects for his channel. Tom Schalk and Aimee Smith provided voices for the animations. On the other hand, The Dead Land videos were slowly being re-uploaded on the 2nd channel. During this time James joined the Animeme team (created by Zack James & Alex Negrete) as an animator.

TheDeadLand channel was abandoned after the last video for the channel was 'My Sketch Story Of Jurassic Park' was posted in March 7, 2012. After Sep 7, 2013, James started a Pokemon Nuzlocke series on his channel with his girlfriend Whitney Raeper.
On January 15, 2014, James started a separate channel for playing games called TheGamingBeaver. Eventually more videos were uploaded to this channel than the other channel. During this time James started playing various online games with some of his friends. These videos were put into a series called BroGaming.
At this point Beaver had stopped making animations for his 2nd channel after posting his graduate film "Breaking the ice" on Jun 27, 2014, only making a few videos on various topics and even doing an Ice Bucket Challenge for reaching 50 thousand subscribers on his channel. After December 24, 2014, the animation channel was abandoned.
Because of the meticulous time and effort put into these animations, it made it hard to keep a good upload schedule and he abandoned the channel and focused on gaming videos.
Originally continuing the Pokemon Nuzlocke series from the older channel, James started playing games such as Trespasser, Pokemon X and Y, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis.
Although James started playing various games, his main focus became Dinosaur games as he was always fond of dinosaurs and thought people would find gaming videos of those interesting. James eventually started to gather fan base. His most successful series were playing app games - Jurassic Park Builder and later Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores. Soon this would lead him into playing many games from the Jurassic Franchise such as Jurassic World The Game, Jurassic World Evolution, and other dinosaur related games such as The Isle, and many more.
On February 6, 2019, a new channel called BroGaming was made. This is a collab channel between James and some of his friends from the BroGaming videos and the content is slightly more mature than the main channel.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, James had joked about creating a separate channel for the beard he grew during lockdown. On July 17, 2020, he made the channel The Beard. The only video on the channel was an animation of James' Beard.
Personal life[]
James was born and grew up in the UK. His mother's name is Susan. He attended Heaton Manor High School from 2008 to 2011 and studied on Graphic Products, Film Studies and Media Studies. He then went to Northumbria University where he studied on graphic design from 2011 to 2014. During this time he started making various animations, both 2D and 3D, with softwares such as After Effects, Maya, Flash etc. Many of these animations, made both for his university and for personal interests were posted on his Vimeo and Newgrounds account as well as his animation channel on YouTube. James eventually graduated with Bachelor of Arts (BA) on Animation. He briefly worked in Machinima as an animator from April to June of 2013. He later joined Maker Studios Inc in May 2014 and has been part of it as an animator & content creator ever since. He used to own a beagle dog called Basil who was born in 2004 and he died on March 1, 2021, aged 16. On 19 June, 2021, James and Whitney got married in the Newton Hall Estate in North East England. He lived in Newcastle upon Tyne(shortened to Newcastle), North East England. In 2022, James moved to Japan.

While he mainly does gaming videos he does sometimes uploads other kinds of videos too, like unboxing Lego Jurassic World sets.
Jurassic World toy reviews[]
These videos are very simple and follow James and his Beautiful Assistant as the unboxings and reviews Jurassic World merchandise and makes a goofy funny quick and snappy review about it. Originally done to tear apart the failure that was Hasbro's Jurassic World Toyline. Now there are more positive reviews about the more successful Mattel Jurassic World Line.
Jurassic Month[]
Jurassic Month is an annual event done on his channel where he makes a small change to his normal Jurassic Park style videos, going back further in time to play way older Jurassic Park games. Such as the Lost World or Jurassic Park Operation Genesis, as well as adding in another one-off Jurassic Park videos such as videos about the original movie or even books. It's an annual blast in the past for James and Jurassic Park.
