Ryan Alexander Gutierrez (born: January 23, 1998)[1], better known online as The ASMR Ryan is an American YouTuber and actor who's known for making ASMR videos. His videos mostly consist of roleplays inspired by media and horror like movies, TV shows, and other different types of scenarios.
History[]
As a kid, Ryan was inspired by horror films and acting. He aspired to be an actor, most motivated by Jim Carrey. Ryan created his channel on April 8, 2017 where he started off making ASMR content. Many of his close friends and family said that he looks and acts like a YouTuber, which got him to think about making a channel. He was nervous at first since some ASMR has a negative reputation, but his family, friends, and The ASMR Circus helped motivate him to create a channel.[2]

Ryan's content mainly consists of skits based off of films, tv shows, etc. Most of his roleplays are based off of horror films, characters, and legends such as Saw, The Purge, The Devil, Halloween stores, and much more. His other skits are based off of other media besides horror and real life scenarios. He will occasionally make reviews of other movies, mainly horror films. He also plays video games and live streams them on YouTube and Twitch. He'll play games like Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Battlefield. Ryan will sometimes make mukbang and food challenge videos.
Characters[]
- Debra: An off screen character who usually acts as an assistant to whoever Ryan plays as. She will usually help Ryan with some issue or get him something important. She can either be treated with respect or contempt.
- Chad: A teenager frat boy and jock who appears in roleplays. He is very narcissistic and acts boisterous around other people.
- Officer Gutierrez: A police officer who acts very serious and plays as the bad cop role in interrogations. He's very well known and respected, even to the point of getting a film made about him.
- Jeremy: The owner of the video game store, Jeremy's Jolly Games. He has a variety of old and new games and different types of consoles selling for outrageous prices.
- Tingle Dealer: A dealer who sells illegal ASMR tingles and items. He's usually seen with a jacket, sunglasses, and sometimes a mask to hide his identity.
