Kelly[1] Van Achte (birthday: June 9)[2], better known online as The Act Man is an American YouTuber, best known for his game reviews, mostly based on games from Halo and Call of Duty. He often does commentaries that are not review-based from time to time.

The Act Man is a YouTuber best known for his Call of Duty and Halo videos and reviews.

On December 7, 2017, he uploaded his most popular video called Why Is Call of Duty: WWII SO BAD?!, in which he reviews the game. It became viral and boosted his popularity on YouTube. The video was part of his most popular series, WHY IS (game) SO BAD/AWESOME/MEDIOCRE/FORGETTABLE/A MASTERPIECE, in which he mainly reviews First Person Shooters. He also had a series called WHY (game) NEEDS/DESERVES A SEQUEL, in which he discusses why games need a sequel. His most known video on it is Republic Commando.

He has a brother who shares his love of videogames and who also occasionally appears in his videos. He has mentioned that he has a girlfriend, and according to a Twitter post, they met at a bowling alley on March 11, 2019. At times his brother will listen to a music playlist of skull trumpet remix's/variants when playing Halo.[3]

According to certain clips from a few of his videos, he's trained to use melee weapons such as swords and nunchakus.

Second channel

He also runs another channel called Act Man TV, where he posts gameplay videos, custom game nights with his patrons and ranking videos. the channel lay dormant for a while but he has made a return and wants to post more there in the future.

Feud with Quantum TV

In 2022, YouTuber Quantum TV became source of heavy criticism and controversy over abusing the copyright claims for wrong reasons and hateful comments towards LGBTQ+ community. The Act Man covered the topic with a video called "Copyright Abuse on YouTube - Featuring Quantum TV", uploaded on April 23, 2022, which became viral. In retaliation, Quantum TV would copyright The Act Man's videos as well as calling The Act Man's mother. On June, The Act Man would release another video about Quantum TV; in the video, an image of a cucumber can be seen next to Quantum TV's mouth, illustrating suggestive sexual activity for humor and mockery. The video would later being taken down, giving The Act Man a strike, and demonetizing his channel until July 8. This would become a trend on Twitter, with many people criticizing Youtube for "being corrupted" and for taking Quantum TV's side despite his shown horrendous things.
