The First Podcast is a YouTube podcast channel hosted by Spaghetto and Lars from Norway.
The show has variously been hosted in the past by Tiege, Doplex, ManyKudos, Madison Rosenblum, and Alexis Keatinge.
About[]
The YouTube channel mainly acts as a way for YouTube users to listen to the podcast in video format; while the hosts and guests do not (generally) record themselves conducting the show on camera, various editors produce a render each episode[1] to provide some interesting visuals on the video as the episode plays.
The vast majority of podcast episodes feature casual, conversation-based comedy interviews with other content creators, predominantly those with a YouTube channel themselves. Each episode is about an hour and a half long, with extended cuts and bonus episodes available on Patreon[2].
While the podcast has existed since 2018[3], Lars and Doplex decided to make YouTube the central hub for the show in late 2020[4], starting with episode 150[5].
Starting in June 2021, the show went on an extended, unannounced hiatus. Lars initially announced a potential reboot in 2022, but this went unrealized. The show then began recording episodes again in February 2023, releasing the first one that March[6].
As of February 2024, the show is once again on hiatus, but with plans to continue again after Lars deals with health problems.
