The Rasmus, also known as simply Rasmus, is a Finnish rock band from Suutarila, Helsinki, Finland. Formed in 1994 by Lauri Johannes Ylönen, Eero Heinonen, Pauli Rantasalmi and Jarno Lahti, the band is best known for their hit single In the Shadows. As of January 2022, they are the 26th best-selling band in Finland.

The band was formed in 1995 by Suutila High School classmates Lauri Johannes Ylönen, Eero Heinonen, Pauli Rantasalmi and Jarno Lahti in the Suutila subdistrict of Helsinki, Finland. As of January 2022, the band has released nine studio albums, two compilation albums, three video albums and twenty-nine singles.
