David Spuria (born: January 16, 1965 (1965-01-16) [age 59]​), better known online as The Real Music Observer, is an American YouTuber who reports on music news, as well as various commentary-podcast style videos on the same subject. Artists and bands include: Journey, Steve Perry, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Schon, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Chicago, Peter Cetera, Eagles, Don Felder, Eddie Money, Kiss, Styx, Beatles, Dennis DeYoung, Rumors of Fleetwood Mac, Rumors ATL, former members of Journey, various tribute and cover bands.

David lives in Lehigh Acres, Florida, is married, and has one daughter (known as "Leyna.exe" on YouTube) and three sons, the youngest son deals with epilepsy. Making YouTube videos is said to be his full time job, with help from his Patreon page. He is a "Former DJ, music director, program director, station manager from classic rock era." David does not like todays music and only does videos on artists and bands from the 1960's-1990's. He used to have a Twitter account, but has since left the site due to toxicity. David frequently expresses his dissatisfaction for new music, and how radio stations nowadays are owned by large corporations and have "focus tested" playlists.
