Top 10 Gaming is a Canadian YouTube channel which makes top 10 lists about video games, on every possible gaming topic that you could imagine. Some of the topics include Top 10 Scary Gaming, Top 10 Fortnite, Top 10 Sonic, Top 10 Mario, Top 10 Pokémon, Top 10 Minecraft, Top 10 Dumbest Ways to Die, Top 10 Alternate Versions, Top 10 Grand Theft Auto, Top 10 League of Legends, and many others. They also do coverage of E3 Press Conferences, too.

Controversy[]

FNAF fan game uproar[]

In April 2020, the channel uploaded a Video called “Top 10 worst FNAF fan-games”. This video ended up becoming majorly controversial, due to Five Night’s at Wario’s (Number 5) Five Night’s at Sonic’s (Number 6) and Five Night’s at F*** boys (Number 10) three highly beloved and iconic FNAF fan-games being on the list, due to them “Not meeting the standards of a high quality FNAF fan-game”, according to the video’s host, Connor Munro.

The channel, of course, received major backlash for how they put three highly respected FNAF fan-games on the list, with some saying they never even played the games. They also defended another FNAF fan-game that was on the list, Five Night’s at Ripley’s (Number 9), which was on the list simply because the game didn’t have five nights and went on infinitely, which many said was an abysmal excuse for a fan game to be on there, pointing out how the FNAF series itself has never had a game with five nights, due to the additions of night 6, the custom night in most of the games, and Nights 7 and 8 in FNAF 4, also pointing out how Ultimate Custom Night also goes on infinitely without any ending whatsoever, due to it being, well… the Ultimate Custom Night. They’ve also been criticised for how they never apologised for this.

A month after the video was uploaded. SmilerFurcifer, the person behind the latest entry of the FNAS series “Maniac Mania” commented on the video, and explained how Sonic’s was simply a learning tool for the franchises creator, TheCyVap on how to code, which is why the characters mechanics in the first three games are identical to the first three FNAF games (minus Withered Toy Sonic, Mario and Yoshi, due to Withered versions of the Toy Animatronics not being present in FNAF 3), which the series was criticised for in the video. It’s currently unknown wether WWW.Wario (Creator of Five Night’s at Wario’s) and Sablesugar and Joshua Shaw (Creators of Five Night’s at F*** boys) are aware of the video.

Plagiarism[]

On November 3, 2021, Top 10 Gaming uploaded a video titled "Top 10 Scary Things You Missed In Poppy Playtime". The video talked about 10 secrets in Poppy Playtime, a horror game by EnchantedMob. A much smaller channel, Tericho, was informed by a viewer that the video is a carbon copy of Tericho's video (which was uploaded before Top 10 Gaming's video). The next day, Tericho uploaded a video in which he talked about how Top 10 Gaming went as far as to steal all of the 10 things in Tericho's video. Outside of the order being different and one being slightly different, it was the exact same that was in Tericho's video. Tericho messaged the producer of Top 10 Gaming on Instagram, kindly asking for being credited. He currently did not receive a response, and continues to remain uncredited in Top 10 Gaming's video.
